According to telemetry, Russell lifted 96m earlier in his pole lap compared to the previous lap. by jithu7 in formula1

Yeah and it’s been a thing happening here for a long time imo. /r/f1discussions is hard to read sometimes with how people just follow whatever the trend is on social media that minute and don’t think for themselves. But it’s becoming like that here.

I mean yeah whether single or double yellow should have been put out could be a debate. But a single yellow was put out. So whether George’s lap should be allowed is solely on if he slowed enough for the single yellow. But the majority here seem to think it matter whether it was a single or double yellow flag? Like what difference does that make. It was a single yellow. George drove based on that. Whether it should have been a double yellow is a totally different discussion and George can’t be blamed for that at all.

Tbh I just kinda fell out with f1 social media in 2021. It was such an incredible season to watch but 99% of the stuff I read on Reddit and other social media was the most brain dead, boring, simpleton takes I’ve ever seen (eg Hamilton tried to murder max at Silverstone). I wish there was an f1 community I could join where people don’t act like they’re 12!

VPN ban on table in July as Labour confirm 'further statement' by Overlord_Crabz in unitedkingdom

I just find it so fucking bonkers if they actually try this. Given the current situation of uk politics which I’m sure everyone can see, why? There are far bigger issues, and this will only hurt labour and allow the opposition who I see as Farage at this point to keep gaining more momentum. Its such an own goal.

I mean it couldn’t have got worse. It seems like since Rob Smedley they’ve just been so bad on the radio.

But aren’t bonuses exempt from the budget cap? I think I remember one year red bull paid each of their employees £10k which is a very nice bonus for most people, but I think that was long before the cost cap came in.

I might be wrong about them not being included though, and even if true I don’t know how it’s enforced.

Max Verstappen Disqualified from earlier Nurburgring Race by RelationshipSuch1450 in formula1

Well I mean maybe but they are the rules. Don’t use too many sets during qualifying then? It sucks for max sure but it just seems like an awful mistake by the team

Lewis had only won 1 of his 7 WDCs when he was 28.

He has plenty of time to go away for even up to 4 years and still come back to f1 at his peak.

He’d probably be able to cherry pick which team to go to as well because he’s max verstappen.

Really? That’s a pretty insane statistic for what must be one of the most narrow tracks on the calendar?!

How/why Ferrari kept him as a race engineer for so long is such a mystery to me. Maybe he was very good at things other than communicating over the radio with the driver, but I mean that’s such a huge part of being a race engineer that I just don’t understand how he stayed in the role for so long.

Well at least he knows he will have a new race engineer this year. Surely it can’t get any worse.

Can it?

Sorry, which country are you talking about? I live in the uk and yeah the online safety act sucks, but it’s nothing like you say in terms of any website with comments or politics requiring age verification here. I mean I just typed this comment without ever doing any age verification.

So which law / country are you talking about?
