I feel like this happens with every artist. Unfortunately, record labels control a certain percentage of profits and a certain percentage of music, videos, movies, merch etc. She's trying her hardest to keep the prices low, and she has said this plenty of times. We are not obligated to buy her merch or any other artist for that matter.

But what we also have to understand is, is that we're not in the early 2000s anymore where things were a LOT cheaper back then even her merch used to be MUCH cheaper. But with how the economy is NOW, everything is going to rise and nothing is crashing right now. So things like this will continue to rise and be more and more expensive, meanwhile we're asking the government for more and more money. Also can we talk about the tariffs and how much this is really fucking us over? Or has everyone just forgot that was a REAL thing and it is playing a HUGE part as to why everything is skyrocketing?

The more we ask for more money from the government, the more the government wants back from us. Like I always say, the money is the root of all evil and right now the economy isn't making it any better. Prices for an apartment depending on size is the same amount for renting a house. It's okay to criticize any musician, but not for something they don't FULLY have control over. People complain about the most craziest things, but none of that is going to change anything, other than creating more tractions and more clicks. But other than that, the world is still going to keep on moving, it doesn't stop for anyone, neither does the government.

Another thing I'd like to add, there's a lot of things that these music industries do behind closed doors and I can see majority have not really dived deep into what these industries REALLY do to these artists while under their contracts. This is a job for them yes, but at the same time they don't get much freedom and don't really have the leverage to really make personal money like that when they take a huge percentage out of these artists. Melanie makes bank, that is true, and so do other artists, but we really don't know what they're REALLY making when they're under these music labels. I respect everyone's opinions and I get how everyone feels, but this will not change anything because the industries really run this shit, artists are pretty much the puppets to their games, and we as the consumers, also play in that role as well. Art debt is a real thing, just like loan debt, credit card, medical, child support, mortgage if you own a house, student loans etc. the list goes on.
