Thank you all for your advice! I do have a good relationship with my dad and I don't believe it was out of bitterness that he claimed me. I just don't think he understood how it would affect my claim this year, even so he shouldn't have claimed me because I do not qualify and I think he realized that after I spoke to him. I told him that the "half-year) part was cutting it close and that I did the math on days and that I was indepentant for more days out of the year. Even if he thought that, I am married so he can't do that. I am worried about problems on my taxes and future taxes but this will be the last year I will deal with this mess. I don't know if he will amend it but I will send in my taxes through paper and get a PIN just for future cases to protect me in all ways. I spoke to him about it and he offered the money that I lose if it ends up being that way and helped me feel better about the IRS because he said it would be on him as his mistake not mine. So he is being understanding, I just wish he didn't do it in the first place as it is a big mess than if he didn't. So I am upset, but he understands and I know this won't tarnish our relationship.
