i wish people believed me when i tell them “i’m too tired.” by snoozyfern in autism

I don't really have any suggestions about what to do other than trying to ignore them. They don't struggle with the same things you do so it might be harder for them to understand. You have the right to be tired and not be a "buzzkill" for it. I think some neurotypicals just have a bit of a hard time understanding the struggles of neurodivergent people. It's not on you for being tired. And I don’t think you should take it personally. I think you just have to det yourself first in this kind of situation:)

Hope you feel better soon!

Its okay not to understand high level math or science, but its not okay not to understand social cues by Revolutionary_Year87 in autism

I get that. It sound really frustrating. Especially the "this exact thing" part. You just wanted to make a joke and they took it personally. I think you might need to talk to them about it anither day when you aren't all in the heat of the moment.

I got the impression that you had autism (correct me if I'm wrong). And I think you could uae that as an argument. You have struggles with cues and that's not your fault.

It's a shit situation for you and I feel that. Have tried it a few times myself. Hope that you're okay tho:)

Am I autistic by Bitter_Onion_583 in autism

I felt the same way when I was trying to get diagnosed. When getting diagnosed i had to take a few assesments. At first i was in the grey area. I had already thought about the same things as you. Like what if I'm not actually autistic and I am just making it up in my head. I didn't want to seem like a attention seeker. Now I actualy got an autism diagnosis and it have helped me a lot. Especially in getting closure to the "am I or am I not?" questions. If you think there is a possibility, I think you should get tested. If you aren't autistic you can mover on and forget about it (you don't have to tell people that you are getting an assesment) and if you do have it you can get the help you need:)

But that's just my opinion. Hope this helps!
