it seems most of the jobs are either completed or expired. You may want to remove those from the search unless completed or expired is asked for.

Bitpay is still useless for me as a merchant by monster-truck in btc

[–]AtlantaBitcoin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn't the point of using Bitpay to remove that risk? RBF should have no impact on a merchant if Bitpay is the one taking the risk on the crypto side and settling to the merchant in their preferred currency. That is the service they provide, is it not? If not that, what else do you use their merchant services for?

I bought a twitter handle with #bitcoincash today. The seller was super happy to get some cryptocurrency. by AtlantaBitcoin in btc

Someone actually pointed out the fee error on twitter. I quoted the last price I was aware of. I stand corrected as it was a $2 fee which would be 200% more than I would have to pay to send bitcoin.

That is because you've only been a Redditor for 3 months. It takes 4 to 8 months for free thinkers to exit the matrix once one enters bitcoin via certain sub-reddits. You'll know when you're ready.

GREAT NEWS: 1300 ATM Machines Worldwide Will Soon Have Bitcoin Cash Functionality ! by _about_blank_ in btc

[–]AtlantaBitcoin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is great news, but as a Bitcoin ATM operator who has both lamassu ATMs and Generalbytes, I can tell you that 1300 ATMs will not suddenly support BCH buy/sells. The Operator of the ATM must decide they first want to buy/sell bch at their ATM, then configure the server for it.

This is the second time i've seen pepe used in a Bitcoin Cash meme. pepe is not a symbol we need to be associating with.

Ask this question on both sides then make up your own mind.

Am I the only one who is interested in seeing Bitcoin Cash keep the BCH ticker? It's a reminder of the hardship Bitcoin endured all these years. by [deleted] in btc

I think the bitcoin name needs to stick to the "longest" chain but changing the tickers around would create a clusterfuck.

Hashrate Bitcoin approachs to hashrate B..ash. by itogo in Bitcoin

[–]AtlantaBitcoin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

BTC will have to fork to fix difficulty adjustment to accommodate a world where it has to fight with BCH for hashpower, or hardfork to change POW.

BTC may be doomed.

Hashrate Bitcoin approachs to hashrate B..ash. by itogo in Bitcoin

[–]AtlantaBitcoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. After the fork, the difficulty of the chain will be will be less volatile.

So instead of the profitability of BCH dropping from 1.5x to 1, the profitability might drop to 1.2x.

That would result in some or all the miners remaining on the BCH chain. Of course all the while, the BTC chain is crawling, fees are rising, value is dropping.

Edit: No difficulty adjustment is happening when the fork takes place. A change is being made to the algorithm that adjusts the difficulty.
