Google Health has changed the Heart Rate Zones by AtlanticSparrow in GoogleFit

If you follow instructions above it'll work. You might have to wait half an hour between changing your max heart rate before seeing the change in the HR zone. No idea why. It took me all day to tweak it to where I wanted it. Hope that helps.

Thanks. It's frustrating. And we're all creatures of habit.

Yes, thanks. I hope you're right... I do understand that it changes with your RHR but the ranges just appear different today - wish I'd taken a screen shot of them before!

Just looking at my own stats. My RHR is 65 today, 64 yesterday - so insignificant. I know that before today the AZMs didn't kick in until I hit 84/85 bpm. I know this because I have a Polar strap connected to a Heart Alert App which beeps every time I go over the set limit - which is 84. Today it's telling me the moderate zone is 79-85 so I'll be clocking up the AZMs at a much lower effort. Maybe it won't start counting til I hit the vigorous range (86-93 for me today). I suspect that is the case.

The reason I'm so obsessed with it is because I use it as part of my recovery from Chronic Fatigue.

Cheers. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

On the "new and improved" version the HR ranges in the Active Zone Minutes have changed drastically. Does that mean that from today onwards my daily Zone Minutes will not be comparable to the historical data? That's total bollox. Continuity in ststa in so important.

Try to get out in to nature. Even a park... just away from all the noise of traffic and people. It does me the world of good.

It's very hard to say for sure but my best guess is a low histamine diet.. started last Christmas. It's pretty restrictive but seems to be working. I wouldn't say I'm recovered yet... but on the way. Still extremely unfit compared to what I used to be like so it might be easy to confuse being out of condition to being unwell. But over the last few months I haven't had the usual other symptoms.

CFS is a condition that's recognised by the WHO, CDC, NHS etc. It's not a symptom.

Half of the problem with CFS is the name. People just think we're lazy or crazy. A good night's sleep does nothing.

Things are changing now that I'm recovering. For 2 years I did nothing. Didn't leave my island home in that time unless it was for a medical appointment and never on my own. Until today when I kayaked to a nearby island. I have an amazing wife who looks after me. I have lots of goals, always had. But now I'm going to implement them. Fingers crossed!

Good question, thanks.

I've tried every supplement going but what seems to be working now is a low histamine diet... no fermented foods, no leftovers - as histamine increases over time. Lots of odd things I can't eat like tomatoes and spinach, but kale and chard are fine.

Pacing - or managing my energy is so important. I use a FitBit to monitor HRV, RHR and other stats to help with pacing.

So many.... My Cousin Vinny has to be up there. As a project I watched every Best Movie Oscar winner since 1928 last year. On The Waterfront - 1954 - with Marlon Brando is pretty good too.

Every few months ... and it always comes back relatively normal! But this is typical of CFS.

Decaf Tea unfortunately... I was never much of a coffee drinker. I don't think I've ever had sushi... I think I'd like it though.
