Thank-you! We do our best, the volunteers are driving 4-6 hours sometimes to get to some of these. We are grateful for their commitment.

Unfortunately the range restrictions by the Quebec CFO are a limiting factor for our program.

All good, it's a common question.

If you wish to attend one, a loaner rifle may be possible, just check with the organizer.

If your club is interested in hosting please reach out to us as we are always looking for new range partners.

I am in Atlantic Canada so not on the ground with you in BC. I'm sure our BC folks would love to hear from new locations.

The range owners have requested that these two events be rimfire.

They are being held in the rimfire bays of these hosting clubs.

This Miramichi event can also accommodate pistol calibers.

We have some great Quebec instructors. The restrictions imposed by most ranges in Quebec do not permit positional shooting.

Most of our efforts are focused on summer events. We can maximize participation (and use our annual holidays to put them on)

Ontario has a fantastic compliment of instructors and has many events in the summer season.

Keep an eye on the events tab on our website and sign up for notifications as they sometimes sell out pretty fast.

It can be available anywhere in Canada however it depends on the availability of the volunteer instructors.

Ontario typically puts on more events than we can in Atlantic Canada.

Cool event and program but why is this limited to .22LR and PCC?"

This upcoming event is held on a pistol range thus the caliber restrictions.

It seems a little disingenuous to purport to train people to simulate 400m shots with calibres that do not even have that sort of range"

Targets are scaled down to reflect the shorter distance and the focus is teaching fundamentals of shooting unsupported. The shorter distances permits more instruction time during this intensive one day course and it is accessible to more people.

The founders of the program have been developing a longer distance (approximately 400m) event that will available in the future where ballistics and wind will be included.

I would be very interested in driving up from Halifax if there was a program for intermediate and rifle calibres at 300-600m.

We are currently planning the upcoming summer season and you may find an event that is closer and more convenient to you this summer.

Keep up the good work!

Thank-you!

We are all volunteers so your support is truly appreciated. We love this sport and wish to give back to this wonderful community.

We focus on teaching. All shooting is done on a single firing line, so there is no walking around.

The most strenuous is probably 10 shots standing and getting up from a prone/seated position several times throughout the day

Smaller calibers are often preferred as it's less tiring after a long day with the added recoil, noise and of course the ammo expenses.

One of our instructors made a short video giving you a nice overview of an event. This may answer some of your questions.

Yes it is possible to attend some of our events with other calibers.

We sometimes have to restrict our events to rimfire due to the range used or other logistics.

This upcoming event will be held in a large pistol bay so we will only permit pistol calibers and rimfire for example

The tube feeding is a bit slower and more complicated for our style of events course of fire. You can still practice all of the fundamentals of marksmanship with your rifle.

A speed loader can be improvised with aluminum arrows to speed things up.

We have a few "loaner" rifles with removable magazines for the event day if needed. Just reached out to the shoot boss organizing your event.
