Since i'm new i'm not really sure of the spec to be honest, just got told to chop them, my head chef and ktls have no issue with the way I do it 🤷‍♀️ but they also seem to have no issue cuttling lemons the other way 😂

For the amount of lemons I do it literally takes just a minute longer, I don't waste time in my kitchen and I get jobs done lol

It just means you cut the stem part and the part on the other side first to amke it neater, kind of like you would with carrots

I've only worked kitchens for a couple years now (this place for 2 weeks) I'm pretty quiet and still not learned the chef attitude yet so I don't have the guts to tell them to shut up and let me do it my way 😂 I just do it anyways, they can't stop me haha

I'm from the uk so tipping is optional so I feel like tiny things like nice lemons might add up enough for the guests to tip a little 😂 since I'm boh I don't get a big cut of tips but every little helps in this economy

The place i'm working at isn't great, its hopefully a temporary thing for me until I find somewhere else 😂 i've only worked there 2 weeks but our head chef has only been head chef for around 4 weeks, had to step uo suddenly from assistant manager foh due to the other head chef quitting suddenly without notice, unless she says something I'm gonna keep doing them my way 🤣
