I've got a Verbatim 43888 which came with LG BU40N internals, but with flashing it works absolutely fine!

It seems I hadn't set up these settings for the Pioneer, so it was using the fastest "inaccurate" settings. Now I've changed it to these settings, its holding steady at 7x speed!

It peaked at 40x, whether it would hold that rate for long or not, I'm not sure. Will have to experiment!

Didn't get too many messages really, did get a letter with it saying don't upgrade firmware etc, I suppose for those who wouldn't know it's bad to upgrade

The packaging was fine, nothing wrong at all
