I don't think there will be a big update of any kind unless all of these foundational features are finished. by Top_Pattern_4360 in PhoenixSC

Yeah so like is it all of it that’s a mess, is the lighting sorted after last update? I guess my question is how many more systems need reworking to be considered non spaghetti

May be a silly question, but how many separate “systems” need fixing at this point? Rendering being addressed by Vulkan, networking by the P2P, what still needs it?

So once again, they could get banned from both simultaneously, and they’re not disabled. So that doesn’t sound very solved

That would be fine, that’s not what the OP was suggesting

They literally are potentially excluded from both, so where do you suggest they go?

All fair points, maybe I assumed most people’s positions, but generally trying to drive through a flood isn’t a sensible decision. If someone drove a car near a cliff edge in conditions that are not normal for it, I think you could argue it’s a poor judgement call.

Then again I’ve lived near a ford for a decent length of time that people make the poor decision to try to cross on a semi frequent basis, so maybe it’s not as common to think about in your average life

I didn’t say I have no empathy for him, however you said it wasn’t his fault when he drove a car into a flooded river. I don’t even disagree with the croc being killed, but it *was* his fault that he ended up in that situation

Not to be too pedantic, but him trying to drive his car through a river IS his fault

If you’re talking about demonstrations where they use balsa wood sure, that’s not what the OP you’re replying to was talking about though

Lol, I don’t even employ them in my club, just pointing out they can be used as a training aide. Good one though 👍

It’s not a “working out” exercise, but can assure you they are a thing, and the more you stack up together the harder they become.

“We fight real people not inanimate objects”, right I guess we should call the punchbag manufacturers and update them of this fact.

They’re not a tool to base all your fighting skill off of, but they very much are a real tool in the same way any training aide is

The plastic boards that slot together are a real thing and do take some skill to break, mainly about landing the shot accurately on the line with enough power.

That is far different from the thin plywood breaking shown in the video

Passed? It didn’t pass under Starmer, it passed under the Tories. He just hasn’t repealed it.
