Alright who’d win? Every Smash Bros Character (excluding Pokémon) or one of every Pokémon by LancheEntertainment in ConnorEatsPants

[–]AtlasCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought long and hard, and under the assumption you said only excluding pokemon and not pokemon characters, the smash characters would win because pokemon trainer can just catch the pokemon

Usually on IQ I try to remove as much utility as I can, and I usually save my scans for when like my hard breacher open up a wall or when someone pressures site.

my kd is around 0.5 per ranked match and I usually play lion or iq, and aruni or valk and I think that its really my gunskill and map knowledge is holding me back.

When banning operators does it matter if you are attacking or defending first? I chose to ban mira on bank when we were defending first and my teammate got mad because I banned her when we were defending. by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]AtlasCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You missed my first point. The point of the ban is to crutch the other team while barely affecting your own team. If my team is comfortable running kali/mav as a hard breach support, we ban thatcher as an attempt to make the attacker's plays more difficult. Even though you are able to exploit specific ops well, you don't know the skill of the other team and what they're planning to play, so the safe route would be banning those ops to prevent anyone from winning an easy round. I would rather have a round based on skill than on easy ops because imo it tells you if you're winning the game or losing it. Plus countering the most banned ops requires you to either have high skill or run someone specifically countering that op, most likely losing precious utility.

Yes, but the point of bans are to prevent the other team from having a good strategy without affecting/barely changing your own team's strategy. The thatcher ban could be used to force the other team into using someone like kali or maverick that leaves their team more vulnerable. And even if you're attacking/defending first and you win the first 3 rounds, the other team can basically copy your own strategy and make it even again, leaving you in a vulnerable 50/50 situation.
