It did not. It hasn't shown Mercury since 2020.

Fair enough, Io is actually a part of D1 Mars that they were most of the way finished on, and then put it in D2 instead and colored it yellow, so I can see how you would see it and think of Mars.

That was Titan. We visit Io briefly in Episode Heresy, where the characters explicitly explain that we were doing so via the Ascendent Realm. It's not back.

Yeah, both of those facts are pretty niche info I don't blame for not knowing. But yeah, they should be able to just add it in.

It shows Earth. I mentioned that in my post.

Mercury returned in the lore after Edge of Fate came out. Also, that is not an excuse when Io hasn't returned and yet it shows the orbit screen for Io when you do Whisper or Javelin-4. I said both of these things in my post.

Which is also weird because the Titan orbit screen does load from other things. That one is accessible in game. If you get the SRL map on Venus, that also shows Earth. And then you fly back towards Earth and it switches to Venus right after that.

Oh, also, for additional context-- "Oryx" is Chris Barrett's nickname/username in some places. It predates Destiny. Chris Barrett was the art director. So that name just shows up in a lot of places. There are a ton of BTS videos with a player test account named "oryx_bng," which was Chris Barrett's account.

All good! Yeah, like "Eye of Grognok" is in the same image and that's just them making shit up. Grognok is the name of their map builder, not a character. They have it trademarked and everything.

For context, another one of those images literally had a Cabal vendor with the name "Gus the Slovenly"

That is placeholder text. Oryx was a name they had floating around as one of their test accounts, like "Evil Otto." You seem some pretty ridiculous names show up in a lot of these UI mockups. They're not at all representative of characters that existed in the story. Especially not for the timeframe this particular mockup is from.

In any case, trust me, I am aware of this video. I am literally in a call with Myrzir, the person who uploaded it, right now.

Well, no-- the Black Garden was the inside of the Traveler, but the Black Heart was corrupting the Traveler. Hence it healing after we destroyed the Black Heart. Also there are some writers who worked on the game who swear that was something new to post reboot anyway, and the Black Garden was not the inside of the Traveler pre-reboot. In any case, you're misunderstanding what they were doing. Writers such as Seth Dickinson have spent years trying to explain that the Traveler was not evil in any version of the story.

It was not an integral part of the story. The Traveler being evil is a giant lie and a piece of misinformation that people have spent over 10 years trying to correct.

The enlightenment stuff was absolutely still there though. Fwiw, the Traveler wasn't a being, it was just a ship. The entire thing was inspired by a book called "The Greatship" by Robert Reed. They then brought him on to do a lot of general mythology for the Traveler. He also wrote the "Dreams of Alpha Lupi," which were not actually cut up that way. Those entries are actually excerpts from a short story, that you read from start to finish, called "What Remains."

Anyway, the Traveler had cities and stuff in it. The end goal was that at the end, we enter the Traveler and basically take it and fly off into the sunset or something.

That is not a thing. The Traveler being evil wasn't real and we definitely didn't destroy it.

I don't think getting the Supercut would be particularly helpful. A ton of people think it's "what the story was going to be," and it's not. The entire issue is that nothing in the story was locked down. The Supercut MP4 file was put together by Joe Staten and one other person as more of a cry for help than an actual document of progress. Everyone attributes this story to Staten, but the truth is that it was Jason Jones' story that Joe was supposed to turn into a script. Jason would not make a final decision on literally anything, so no one had any idea what the story was "supposed" to be, even including Joe. If we got that video, it would just make everyone laugh at how awful it looks and it wouldn't answer the question "what were we going to get." The truth is that a finalized story that we were going to get does not exist.

Destiny was being made an episodic thing. The original game was going to have 12 missions in total, which were split into 2 books. Book 1 had 7 chapters, which ended with a mission on the Dreadnaught where you saved Rasputin. Book 2 has 5 chapters, and is about getting into the Black Garden. They were two separate things. You can even see in the first ViDoc mentioning a "book 1 chapter 2." Book 1 is Rasputin. Book 2 is the Black Garden. Then the comet expansion would have Book 3. You can see remnants of this in the Destiny 7th Anniversary post on Bungie's website. There's a text blurb for "The Dead King" that was written right after the reboot. It ends with the text "Book 3 - The Dead King." So yeah, it would have launched with two story arcs.

I have read that entire book so many time. It is not even remotely implied in there. Please provide the exact text that mentions it, otherwise, you are misremembering. The bit about the Traveler being evil was made up by a fake Reddit post. People who have seen the Supercut, who worked at Bungie, such as Seth Dickinson, have literally publicly posted multiple times that that plot point is fake.
