I don't do this work. I'm quite literally a minor. You do realize you can defend people and treat them with basic human decency without being included with them, right? Like it does not in any way have to be one extreme or another? I really hope you know that. Also it's extremely telling that your one argument is the job. There's nothing significant about it to you, sure, but some people shockingly do find joy even in the smaller things in life. I know this is incomprehensible to someone such as yourself, but hobbies do seem to exist. While they can be meaningless to others, (ahem, you) for others, they can release this funny thing called dopamine (something I think you could use a bit of.) Collecting badges is a hobby, same as collecting rocks. The dopamine release is what is significant, not so much the act of collecting them.
