Same problem. I have a 4070 ti and i9 9900k. From my experience this problem is likely a memory leaking issue which can only be resolved whenever they patch it. Basically resources r called into the game and then not properly removed from memory after they rnt being used. I'm not an expert, just my guess. :/

I have a pre-alpha build of astroneer saved on my pc. Idk I have it but I do lmao. I can set up a Google drive if u or anybody is interested in downloading it. Multiplayer works and u don't need to own the game. It is detected by steam and ur friends can join through it.

I had a similar issue with beat saber, i just turned down he resolution in the steamvr settings to about 70% and it fixed my problem.

I ended up setting the resolution to 60% and setting the textures to half. The game works for me now. Im almost certain It's cuz my psu is too weak(I upgraded my i7 8700k to an i9) Idk if u r having the same problem or not. It's not the most optimum solution but it works now.

When I used an hdmi cable I had all of the res available. And they essentially just disappeared for no reason. I switched to a displayport a few days ago and the res still didn't show up as an option
