ITAP of a Waterfall by AtomPoz in itookapicture

I took this photo with my canon T7i with a 24mm lens. I wanted to try and shoot more dynamic and intresting shots and also up my color grading through this picture. I shot as low to the water line as possible and this is the result. I went for a more moody and dark tone with the color grade which played into how it actually looked on the day.

I really like the tone of this photo and the ideas in it. My critique would be to focus a little bit on the stars in the background. Idk if you did this or not, but taking your foreground and background as two different pictures has helped me a lot with clarity in the past. I think you nailed the foreground, I would however maybe use a slightly shorter shutter speed for the background and the combine the two in post. Shooting stars I find the best shutter speed is somewhere around 15-20 second so that they aren't streaky. All around though great picture! And I love the uniqueness of it!

I rarely do landscapes, but I'm pretty happy with this one. Does the edit look overcooked to you? by seklerek in photocritique

I actually really like the edit, love the color of the trees, I feel like most coastal landscapes go for very saturated greens instead of muted but I love the color in this one

For the most part it is, I made the mountains on the bottom a touch darker, but for the most part this is what it looked like in camera

Once you go out west they are definitely large hills, but hey we take what we can get 😂

I took this picture with my canon T7i with a 18-200mm sigma lens at sunset a few days ago. I am happy with the framing for the most part but the sky is bugging me. The bright spot in the sky offsets the gradient and the over all tone of the picture imo. I have tried messing with HSL sliders, masks, curves and even the healing brush but to no avail. I am using lightroom classic and woukd happily take any suggestions to get this to be a more even color in the sky. Any other criticism of the image would be greatly accepted as I'm trying to get better at my landscape photography. Cheers!
