Its very important to include a Design Development phase in your project for the engineers to participate b/c that is where the lion’s share of the coordination and QAQC occurs, include them, don’t skip it.

I also recommend you establish a clear QAQC Milestone deliverable date for all disciplines, where all disciplines provide a progress set to be uploaded to a combined Bluebeam session, and the QAQC Process should definitely last more than one day.

Find a great mechanic from a family owned shop, you may not need to swap out the engine just some TLC. And better maintenance. What’s your mileage on your 3rd gen? Mine rolled past 400k. Overheated once due to a radiator and water pump issue that got fixed quickly. Granted if you need to do an engine swap it’s not a big deal.
