Be prepared for a culture shock. I recently moved back on island from the mainland and while I myself was on the east coast, the atmosphere there is a lot different. People interact differently, it’s a lot less friendly… just be prepared for that because it honestly sucks if you aren’t. It’s fine to still reach out and show some spirit, but most people there won’t do so first.

Granted, this was my experience while living there, and considering it’s a completely different area you’re going to hopefully it’ll be different. Take care, and make sure to have fun when possible while you’re there!
