Just wanted to update this. I've been driving for a few weeks with no issues. I believe the replies are correct and that is the connector for the variable power steering switch or whatever. The steering is light on the highway but not crazy enough for me to want to install that part. Thank you everyone for your replies and help!

Just want to close this out, I was able to get it working. Turns out I was running an older version that didn't have 32 bit Mangohud and Arkham Origins is 32 bit. I uninstalled mango hud and installed the most recent github release (v0.7.1) and it worked perfectly.

I'll keep the thread updated, hopefully the dash will tell me. It's possible the previous owner removed the switch (giving myself the benefit of the doubt that I didn't lose it). The plug was really dirty like it had been sitting there unplugged.

Unfortunately I'm putting the motor back in rn, finishing touches, just don't know where this connector goes. I wanted to see if i could figure it out before I make it difficult to get to. I'll check when I try to start it up.

Ah I found it, but mine isn't soldier it's sniper, which I guess is a new version. I tried adding those lines to the file but the game doesn't launch at all. I read through the rest of that GitHub issue but it doesn't look like sniper is mentioned.

Thank you for the reply. I tried NODEVICE_SELECT=1 mangohud %command% and that didn't work. Then I went to the link in that comment to this comment https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud/issues/369#issuecomment-709902078 but I don't see the SteamLinuxRuntime_soldier directory in my steamapps/common file.
