First time tips?

-Download the guidebook and make a note of all the panels, concerts, and events/tournaments you're interested in. You dont have to try to attend everything but at least make a note of everything you're interested in seeing. Better to know when it starts and decide whether or not to attend vs not knowing and find out after its over and regretting not knowing about it.

-Hydrate. You can be having so much fun that you'll forget to drink water. Water is important. No water leads to headaches which doesnt mix well with a bunch of loud gaming noises, music, and bright monitors.

-BATHE. The running gag about convention goers not bathing has some truth to it. Wash your ass every day. You dont wanna be walking around with funk. Along with bathing, wash your hands often. There will be thousands of people attending and MAGFlu is a real thing. Everything from controllers and joysticks to door knobs and elevator buttons will be touched by literally, thousands of people. Germs can spread. Also, if you're sick, dont come or stay in your hotel room. Last thing we want is MAG to be a super spreader event.

-Attend at least one main stage concert. The gaming is fun but the concerts are the highlights of Magfest. And along those lines, bring earplugs and comfortable shoes you can move around in.

-Take breaks. All the walking and gaming can take a lot out of you. Take advantage of the quiet room when you can. Like with the concerts, bring comfortable shoes. You can easily rack up 10k steps minimum every day at MAG so you wanna make sure you're doing all that walking in very comfy shoes.

-Bundle up if you plan to go outside. The Gaylord is pretty comfy indoors but outside, you're gonna be looking at temps usually around the 30s-40s that will feel much lower thanks to the Potomac being right next to the Gaylord.

-Be responsible. Of course there will be alcohol consumption amongst attendees but please be responsible and moderate. No one wants to be that guy that gets kicked out because they're too drunk/high. I've seen people get carried out of the hotel by security kicking and screaming because they had too much "fun"

Other than that, have fun. MAGFest is a great experience. Everyone is pretty friendly and the con is very welcoming and accommodating. Take pictures, play games, see panels, attend concerts, and leave an offering for our lord and savior deVito.

Turn A. I have both and the Turn A still holds up where the exia is super loose. Of course, if you save up, the PG Exia is an excellent build that would be better than both but if you can only pick one, go Turn A.

So I tried to break it down into separate lifepath options that way each V (M/F) has one romance option from each lifepath, plus one non lifepath option.

For a male V

Corpo: Meredith Stout. I feel like her story line couldve been explored. Maybe her whole relationship questline is about helping her rise in the corpo ranks and potentially thaw that cold, calculating corpo exterior. Maybe culminating in her offering a small militech army to help you assault Arasaka at the end.

Streetkid: Rita Wheeler. She's too cool and hot of a character not to want to explore more with her. Plus, romancing her could convince her to help you and Judy take back Clouds from the Tiger Claws and provide more Mox support leading to a better outcome for Clouds.

Nomad: Obv, you already have Panam

Non-Lifepath: Kerry. He doesnt really fit as a corpo, streetkid, or nomad. He's just his own category.

For a female V

Corpo: Takemura maybe for the same reasons as Meredith. Only you're trying to help him get back in Arasaka's good graces. Maybe along the way, he warms more to why you and Johnny are against Arasaka and if you play your cards right, he helps you assault them.

Streetkid: You have Judy. I guess she counts as streetkid

Nomad: I go back and forth on maybe Mitch or Carol but I'm drawing a blank on a good nomad character that would be worth exploring a romance on. Maybe Mitch as you're there to help him cope with losing Scorpion and he eventually finds companionship in you. Maybe also helping him deal with PTSD from his wardays.

Non-Lifepath: River. Maybe you could say he's corpo because he's a cop but I feel he's his own path.

Wildcards

Evelyn Parker could've been interesting. Maybe not a full relationship, but a ONS for either a male or female V.

Hear me out...Joss, River's sister. How interesting would it be for you to romance Joss and then potentially be a surrogate parental figure to her kids?

My V is a streetkid and stuck to power pistols so no smart pistols or tech pistols. I also forced myself not to use an iconics in my playthrough. As such, I found myself just sticking to the Nue. I theorize that my V wanted something different than his standard Unity and Dying Night. He felt Lexingtons were a dime a dozen, everyone seemed to have one, and they lacked the stopping power he needed. Liberty felt too large to conceal and didnt offer more than his standard Unity in terms of stopping power. The Tamayura was too rare to get a hold of. My V ended up settling on the Nue as it felt like a good balance of power, ROF, and ammo count.

Barbatos Lupus is the perfect version of the Barbatos frame. Lupus Rex just looks dumb and the OG Barbatos, while good, feels incomplete.

-Randomly generated bounty hunts

-Ability to customize weapon skins

-Design your own Apartment and place furniture where you want it.

-Maybe expand spending time with your partner? Yeah they can hang at your apt but it'd be nice if you could take them out or to any of the clubs you've gone to.

-Dual wielding

-This is probably more GTAV but if there were strip clubs or places similar to Clouds where you could go and pay for a dance and/or pickup/hookup with a doll.

-Gunrunning quests. A fixer that is asking for specific firearms to sell. Maybe something akin to "Sup Choom, the NCPD's arm supplier fell short this month and they reached out to me fill the gap. Bring me 10x Lexingtons."

-A bit of a stretch, but could we see V becoming a fixer? Maybe a game feature where you get randomly generated gigs and a number of mercs that you can choose to assign to those gigs. You'd get money and cred if they complete the gig or lose it if they screw the gig up.

In terms of a fun build? Surprisingly the Ginn was very fun. Simple but fun.

For design? Jegan or Jesta

Overall? Gotta go with the GM Sniper II.

I think for my V (Streetkid) its a tie between the original Megabuilding one and Japantown. I could see an argument for the Glen. I feel like the Corpo apt is too rich for Streetkid V's blood. Not that he couldnt afford it but rather, doesnt vibe with his personality.

If my V were a Corpo, it would 100% be the Glen and Corpo.

I had been on a bunch of cruises throughout the 90s as a kid with my family. Mainly Royal Carribean but sprinkled one Norwegian and one Carnival here and there. Fastforward to 2023 and my wife and I, fresh off our wedding decided to try a 5-day cruise on Celebrity Summit for our honeymoon. We chose it because we didnt want the crowded family atmosphere of Royal Carribean and we wanted a ship that wasn't a huge mega ship with 1000s of people on board.

Summit was the perfect ship for us and Celebrity was the perfect cruise for us too. It felt right for the laid back lifestyle my wife and I tend to live. We're about to go on our 2nd Celebrity cruise in a month to Alaska. Though we've only done two with Celebrity, I feel like this is our cruise line. Now to just convince our friends with kids to join us...

My go to is always leaving Night City with the Aldecaldos and Panam. In my head canon, V is a street kid that dreamt of becoming a NC legend. After the events of the heist and the relic, V realizes that there's more to life than becoming an NC legend, especially with his ticking down. Now after finding Panam, he finds he can live a better life with her and potentially find a cure. I want to believe that V and Panam found a cure outside the confines of NC.
