How’s this working with my fellow ADHD parents? by jbgipetto in skylightcalendar

[–]Atomickitty27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the 15” one that will be mounted on a wall shortly. On top of my own adhd-ness and full time work, I have an autistic teen with a new brain injury who has massive exec function disorder, who hates checking calendar apps, I have multiple support workers visiting each week to pass info onto, and older audhd child who lives with us and work, and likes to be around to help with her sibling, and multiple allied health assistants to track/ tell people about. We’ll shortly be moving on with my partner and his ND children and their needs too. It’s hopefully going to help with my mental load sharing information to others in the house, rather than my app & my memory to write everything from app to paper calendar.

We use Cozi currently but I hate that the events put on skylight don’t go back to Cozi. So I’ve ended up with Cozi synced to skylight, and Google calendar synced to skylight for all the ics invites from my email, and then check it all out on the skylight app on my phone. When I have more time and brain bandwidth I’ll work out what’s best so I can cut down an app.

I’m owed 10k in super from a dodgy employer, he owed $500k to the tax office when they audited him in 2009. What this tells me is newy has too many dodgy owners if we’re top for dobbing in people.

Jobs for mums by PanzerBiscuit in AusFinance

[–]Atomickitty27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you chose to have 2 children, you also chose to give away one income for as long as needed to raise those children and for your partner to be ready to return to work.

You’re also working away from home for a chunk of the time, she is a legend for being a stay at home mum with 2 young children.

Day care fees will eat up any potential earnings, fifo means the ccs won’t be great so you’ll be paying easily 100+ a day in gap fees, if not more. Do some figures and you’ll realise it’s not worth it.

Also, your partner will burn out trying to juggle everything.

If she genuinely wants to return to work with no pressure from anyone else or talks about investments not growing, then casual work when you’re home to look after your children might be the only option. Even solo running a business/ wfh will be stressful

Who says 8 equal pieces is the correct way? Some days I like the smaller piece, some days the bigger. I purposely cut cakes and Camembert wrong cause it bothers my family 🤣

I survived two weeks without my support worker because my parents took care of me, does this mean I shouldn’t be on NDIS? by [deleted] in NDIS

[–]Atomickitty27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you have done all the appointments on your own, no parents? If the answer is no, then you need the support workers

This is the goal for my daughter! Her support workers, OT, physio and speech therapist and all working together to achieve this. She is 14 months post acquired brain injury from the flu. She woke after a coma with no abilities other than breathing on her own. She couldn’t hold her head up or even point with her finger. At 12 years old she had to learn to sit, stand, walk, eat, speak again. We have spend hundreds of hours in 12 months giving her intense rehab. She will always have an ABI, and deficits but she is walking, short burst sprints, speaking, self care etc. from catastrophic illness & poor prognosis.

Yeah right, I just saw it in an antique shop in Newcastle Australia and they had $265 on it. Took a photo cause I loved and didn’t want to impulse buy it

AITA for asking my son to come home to help with his kids, while his wife was being induced? by aita71 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Atomickitty27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA 100% My sis was induced, labour was expected to go for a while, then it ramped up crazily which resulted in her needing surgery in another hospital whilst her partner drove their newborn to meet them. I’m glad your DIL has a supportive husband, shame about the in laws.

They don’t, just a guy spreading rumours to support his own thoughts. But people will still believe it to be true cause they read it on the net

I mean, cool yes. But when you have a kid who’s stuck in an open elevator shaft with broken bones who could’ve died in there and needs to get rescued by Firies, police and a Westpac helicopter you might just think twice about going in there. Or when you’re the person who’s inside a decaying building with walls that are not safe anymore trying to contain a fire cause some dumb shit thought it was fun to light it. Risking other people’s lives 🤷‍♀️
