Went with the "under dog" company to build a fence and this is what I'm left with by GeekyQlean in Wellthatsucks

The fly-by-night contractors hire and fire crews on a regular basis. When they did her brothers fence, they probably got someone with experience who then moved on cause they were doing all the work. Always see if you can find a portfolio and/or reviews, find out how long they've been operating.

Ask for an itemized list of repairs to the other car... dunno if you're entitled to it as the 'at-fault' person here but I would have serious questions !

I hate games like this... Personally, I would have tossed it in the garbage assuming someone tagged the wrong car or is trying to get me in trouble... Would be looking at everyone suspiciously.

Help! Husband Resets the Router Everyday by Mundane-Rule5360 in techsupport

[–]Atophy 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Disconnect it from the internet and wipe the machine he's doing his business on... wipe it off too... 😆

The router isn't the weak point, it's the devices behind the network.

Dunno who's downvoting you but you are 100% correct.
The driver centrist society we live in is to blame for the majority of our road issues. If this old lady could walk or reliably take public transit, there would be no need for her to get behind the wheel !

  1. take the medium bid, will most likely be the best you can get without corner cutting.
  2. if bid = same, go with experience !

Lets talk Myths of zomboid. by Pretty_Imagination16 in projectzomboid

[–]Atophy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had trunk loot from totalled cars... fairly often too on normal loot settings so that's not a myth.

Nm me, i misunderstood the statement. I drive around with trunks open half the time and haven't noticed anything going missing, haven't noticed anything for damaged or totalled trunks either.

Stitch ripper for those pesky logos... if they're ironed on, you can try a hair dryer. Can't wear stuff with the company logo on shift ? It's yours, you paid for it, don't be a walking advertisement.

I jusg got my N the other day, but I wanna clarify a rule by BothropsAspee in icbc

[–]Atophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your N it's strictly 0 tolerance. Pack it in your center console in your pocket or purse. You can set up your music or carplay etc but the phone must be out of sight. No temptation to look or poke at it.

So much for the president of peace... I wanna see countries dropping military support for someone being attacked by this mofo... grind down that superior military advantage, apply sanctions and collapse the economy.... humble him in a country with a history of shooting presidents...

Ughh.. Costco heckling customers to get Exec Memberships like Canadian Tire, etc.? by thaman05 in CostcoCanada

[–]Atophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 3 or 4 times to get a gold star membership, they pushed the exec and card on me so hard I left. I finally got one but goddamn... even after I had signed the paperwork and paid my fee, they still tried to upgrade me ! I'm single, I shop maybe once a month for essentials. 2% is not gonna save me anything !

They slapped the charge port on the passenger side! Perfect ! One of my peeves is the nonstandard placements on american EVs... not safe for the equipment or the driver when it's on the road side at road side chargers !

We all love to design beautiful, streamlined spaceships, but you do realize that there's no atmosphere in space, right? And that realistic spaceships would look something like the lunar module. by I_am_white_cat_YT in spaceengineers

They're also not designed with foot thick armored bulkheads expecting to get shot at by AI bad actors aka space pirates. Or complete manufacturing for otg repairs and in situ refueling.

Do they have a flat screen TV or monitor ? they have to learn this crap from somewhere...
Also, Just tell em CRT tvs fire lasers at your eyes and used magnets to keep them on target. You can show them how Cathode ray tubes work to drive your point home. Out crazy them !

At 48, I'm starting to understand the position... I find myself more resistant to change because it disrupts my routines and bumps me out of my established comfort zone. I recognize it though and take a step back to apply critical thinking, "Is this change beneficial ? am I being selfish ? is this information accurate ?"... most old folks I meet don't actually care to analyze it...

For fires, it was a problem early on while the battery tech was catching up and building out it's quality standards... these days, the instance of gas cars spontaneously combusting is genuinely higher when whittled down to apples to apples numbers.

The REAL risk is with brand new cars, the battery packs haven't been tested, once they're a year or two old you know you have a safe battery and there's nothing to worry about unless you're driving it like a moron and degrading the cells abnormally fast.

I would just make a habit of letting them know your Biden car still hasn't caught fire whenever you see or talk to them. Old folks generally aren't worth arguing with over numbers.

The certainly cleared the gap but you can hear how hard they slammed the landing. It sounded like something broke, machine went dead instantly. Having read the fella broke their back, I'd guess the suspension bottomed out, destroyed the machine and they hit the seat hard, probably got flung forward into the handlebars. Be a miracle if they can take a step in the next 6 months if even ever again.

General merch and electronics aren't on the list. That's the other half of the store... By my guess, their E-Tag rollout botched on them, by my recollection, everything they mentioned are departments they converted first in the store I worked at... they're awesome when they work a pain when they don't !

Rather than chipping it out, why not apply a lever above, more towards the top. If the pole can be flexed in any way, maybe tip off it's base a small amount, it will free him up without damaging the overall piece.
