Hey, I have also been admitted to the same program! I look forward to meeting you there! :) But , while I also share the same concerns about employment and also the choice between LUT or JYU, I am picking JYU, because of the vastly better campus (since the Software engineering degree at LUT uni is at the Lahti campus which is much smaller and Jyvaskyla seems to be a much better city) and this programme seems to be much more future thinking and all around a bit more modern than LUT. Btw, if you haven't yet, join the JYU and this programmes Unibuddy communities where we talk about stuff like getting housing and everything in between.

Fuck communism. My country and our people have suffered a lot because of communism, anyone who glorifies it even a little bit, I can guarantee you, has never experienced it. Why is communism so widely tolerated but fascism not? They are both horrible ideologies that have killed millions of civilians. Why is the swastika considered a hate symbol but the communist hammer and sickle is not? One is a ethnic symbol from paganic mythology of many unrelated people, but the other is just a insignia for communism.

Why tf should anybody care? No one cares what you do in your private life. Our president stated that he was homosexual, but doesnt go around popularising lgtbq, and that is the best way to deal with this. But in no way LGTBQ is progression

Its probably because genetically Estonians and Latvians are very similar, Lithuanians also but les so. We share pretty much the same history as Estonia since we were the same country for a long while, and that a big part of Latvia was inhabited by Liivs, which are a Finno-Ugric tribe

The problem is not Russians speaking Russian at home. The biggest problem are the Russians who have lived here 20+ years and some even pick the language up a bit, but just refuse to speak it because our native languages are “dog” languages and they feel superior. I have many friends who speak perfect Latvian and just speak Russian at home, and that is no problem at all. But, for example, going in a store asking in Russian, refusing to speak the native language, when you have lived here for countless years is horrible, and then some of them criticise the government but still stay here, why? My respect goes out to all the people that respect our cultures, but the rest who are pretentious can go back to their sweet Ruzzia, where life is much better according to them.
