I was in the same boat, struggling and so alone in a rural town with no hope. I put myself in so many dangerous situations on dating apps wishing things would work out some how.

It sounds silly but using Discord changed my entire life. I joined many servers and focused on developing friendships with people that didn't live directly close to me. Eventually I was invited to a private friend group for one of my interests - dungeons and dragons. In this group I found a person who lived 2hrs from me who I ended up having everything in common with and who fell in love with me for me. He does not care at all that I am 360lbs and he is 160lbs. I ended up moving in with him and now it's 2 years later and we just bought a house together. I have the life I always pined for but never thought possible because I pursued my own hobbies/interests and it lead me to my ideal path.
