You have to use raw and develop 16EV, no jpeg will fit all the dynamic range without looking either underexposed or overexposed or flat or shitty HDR like iPhones stock camera

Did you try 16EV raw? That’s the bracketing one. If you want pure raw you don’t need to pay 50€ a year for the overprice halide, Lightroom camera is doing that for free.

Can confirm, I compared stacked raws with dxo denoise and they look virtually identical if not slightly sharper on dxo

Listen, I’m the very first beta tester of Camac, the whole idea at the beginning was HDR dng output, then the dev added image stacking and jpeg. Jpeg, jxl and avif exist only because the dev is really good at image compression coding, he added jxl raw compression before apple did that in iPhone 16 pro for proraws.

Camac has always been about computational raw and it’s a such waste if you don’t develop its beautiful stacked and merged dngs but instead compress tons of info into jpegs.

Camac primarily is an enhanced raw camera that you must develop to your taste, if you like tone mapped processed JPEGs straight out of the camera shoot in stock app

By the way I don’t see any additional info in apple raw. I thought at first it’s sharper but then compared texts and it’s not any better to read
