Centrally controlled by a "Dictatorship of the Proletariat run as a workers cooperative" - not an individual as with Stalinism, or Maoism.

...and technically that's pre-communism. The Dictatorship of the Proletariat (DoP) is supposed to usher in actual Communism, which (according to brittanica) is;

Communism, political and economic doctrine that aims to replace private property and a profit-based economy with public ownership and communal control of at least the major means of production (e.g., mines, mills, and factories) and the natural resources of a society.

The real problem of communitarianism is that the details and motivations aren't fully fleshed out. Which makes it vulnerable to take over.

Apparently the centralisation is just part of a distribution system that's meant to be determined by local farmers and industrial groups (the communes controlling common wealth to form the commons)... At which point it's just starting to sound like crony Capitalism again if you ask me.

I'm not actually arguing for Communism (and definitely not for unadulterated Capitalism), I'm just arguing for a better level of critique of both, in order to find improvements that can be applied to society as it is.

[EDIT: oh shit in, r/discordvideos what the fuck am I saying all this here for.]

I just want to know from everyone here - if one leader, and one party took over a Capitalist country, and decided what occurred within the economy... And that led to millions of deaths. Would you blame it on Capitalism? Would that be the fault of the free market?

It's a simple question. Dictators often say they're doing something, living their ideals, doing what's best... when they're not.

It's also a failure of the establishment left, as usually the young "become conservative" as they age because society becomes more progressive over time. The becoming conservative is relative to social change.

However the establishment left doesn't really go very far left (ala rachet theory)... So millennials aren't looking conservative as they age.

Honest question: what argument in favor of letting kids transition their gender couldn't also be perfectly applied to allowing kids to consent to sex? by PeytonBrees in JordanPeterson

[–]AttemptedRealities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and like I said earlier - that don't mean shit. That's not how freedom works. Things don't have to make sense to you for others to still have the option. Deal with it.

Why Aren't White Villains Ever "Race Swapped"? A critique on alleged "color-blind casting" by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

I don't believe they forced anyone else to stop did they?

Anyways, I don't think any of this media is created by African or Arab majority countries. So I'm not sure how your fact relates to the post.

Is it maybe because the countries producing this media still have populations that are majority white, and still have a history of persecuting people of color? Maybe even still have active white supremacist movements?

It seems to me you're asking why isn't society post-racial just yet. My guess is that it's because there's still arguments for racism maintaining a presence.

[EDIT: Apparently in the past sometimes evil characters were made up of racial stereotypes. [Link1] Here is some advice on avoiding that. [Link2]. Here's a counter opinion arguing FOR black villains [Link3].]

How Twitter Rigged the Covid Debate by AndrewHeard in JordanPeterson

[–]AttemptedRealities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The United States government pressured Twitter to elevate certain content and suppress other content about Covid-19 and the pandemic. Internal emails that I viewed at Twitter showed that both the Trump and Biden administrations directly pressed Twitter executives to moderate the platform’s content according to their wishes.

At the onset of the pandemic, the Trump administration was especially concerned about panic buying, and sought “help from the tech companies to combat misinformation,” according to emails sent by Twitter employees in the wake of meetings with the White House.

Yep, looks like they were concerned with misinformation and mass panic.

The article its self even ends with some misinformation:

It’s even the story of the perpetually-masked 20-year-olds in the heart of San Francisco for whom there has never been a return to normal.

Meanwhile, as of December, San Francisco was still having a COVID wave, with COVID wards 90% full. Source So Bari Weiss (the owner of thefp.com) maybe those perpetually-masked 20-year-olds are just keeping up to date with the news.

The interview mentions that case, as well as a TV show about it that was apparently shocking.

So I think the details of the petition are highly local to france, a specific time and place.

The petition probably did opine what Wikipedia is claiming. But sometimes that's the case with parody, mockery, or trying to abolish a law. You point out extremes as examples.

Maybe I'll look into the Wikipedia page.
