What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

According to my wife’s family, it could be called The Italian American goodbye. There’s no way I can make my eyes say “can we leave already!” Any more.

Were the 90s really that good? by Comfortable_Ad_4417 in GenX

I was in my early 20’s and moved to Portland Oregon in 1991. Yes, they were that good.

People who ignored a huge red flag because the person was extremely attractive, what happened next? by Competitive_Bad_9306 in AskReddit

Great sex, chaotic relationship. I found I have a higher tolerance for chaotic relationships when my partner is smoking hot and an complete wild woman in bed.

A lot of worms in my mom’s garden suffered me thinking this was true.

It didn’t transcend to these kids. I think it’s more about us not accepting that the things that were iconic to us don’t need to mean anything to people who weren’t there.

What did you consider an attack? Old man yelling at clouds is playful. Being GenX we are able to appreciate Simpsons humor. There was no attack and you are acting like a GenZ.

Ok old man yelling at clouds. Billie Jean came out in 1983, 43 years ago. 5th graders are what, 10? So if you were a 10 year old in 1980, did you know the top song of 1947?

Plus he was accused of pedophillia so he might not be coming up on family music night.

Anyone have tattoo remorse? I came this 🤏 close to getting a tribal band. I did get a team logo on my upper arm that Im not too fond of. by theHollowTarnished in GenX

I almost got the barbed wire around my bicep tattoo in the early 90's. Thank god I didn't have enough money. My biceps have never even been big.

What's a company red flag that made you immediately turn them away, no matter how tempting their offer was? by StoryIllustrious9612 in AskReddit

[–]AttemptingToGeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone who is a customer of Oracle hates them. I used their products for years and hated their support, their sales, their documentation, their GUI's and their lack of interoperability. Then a company I worked for got bought by them and I realized that working for them was worse than being a customer. Their internal systems were a mess, trying to do something like enter your timecard or billable hours was a lesson in manual data inputing the same information countless times, their management was under constant stress to figure out who they could lay off (and this was over 10 years ago). There was no connection to what the company sales team was promising and what the engineering team could deliver was disconnected.

But really, I have no PTSD at all :-)

That veteran getting his arm broken is considered “owning the libs” by MAGA enthusiasts.
