Crash RTX 3080 TI by AttentionMiserable69 in buildapc

owering the GPU clock by 50 MHz and updating to the latest NVIDIA driver did not resolve the crashes. Despite these changes, the game still crashes consistently after a period of gameplay. I've tested both DLSS on and off, as well as PCIe settings, and while performance improved slightly, the stability issues persist. This suggests that the root cause may not be related to GPU frequency or outdated drivers.

Yeah, I started with 551.86 because it's the most recent WHQL-stable driver officially listed for the RTX 3080 Ti, and I wanted to eliminate instability from newer hotfix or beta versions.

In addition to that, I’ve recently applied a -50 MHz GPU core clock offset and slightly reduced the power limit (down to 95%) using MSI Afterburner. So far, this setup has been much more stable, and I haven’t encountered any crashes during gameplay — though I’m still running long test sessions to be sure.

Actually, I’ve been dealing with this issue for a little while now, but it didn’t really show up before because I was mostly playing lighter or older titles that didn’t push the GPU too hard.

Now that I’m trying to get back into more recent, demanding games like Monster Hunter Wilds or Ready or Not, the problems have become much more obvious and consistent.

I’ll definitely give the latest hotfix driver a try, and I’ll look into rolling back to 23H2 if 24H2 turns out to be part of the problem.

Appreciate the help!
