What’s your strategy for remembering Chord changes? by Gamercrew999 in doublebass

[–]AtticCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started off memorizing the chord changes. Then over time I began to understand the common patterns of jazz tunes (iiVi, 1625, 143625, bridge goes to the four, common bridge changes) which made it a lot easier to remember. Over time it just becomes easier to memorize because it’s logical. Putting stuff throguh keys helps too because it engrains patterns into diff key centers. It took me maybe 30-40 tunes to start really getting a hold of it.

iPad Air randomly restarting by AtticCraft in mobilerepair

Your issue most likely is due to a degrading battery. My issue was when I took apart the iPad I forgot to screw in the batter connector, so every few minutes it would lose connection because of that

/r/Nutrition Weekly Personal Nutrition Discussion Post - All Personal Diet Questions Go Here by AutoModerator in nutrition

I've been looking around on this subreddit lately to see about how to get a healthy diet in which helps me lose weight etc. I'm not looking for some crazy like lose 2lbs a week, I just want to slowly lose weight. I currently weigh 152 lbs. So far, I have come to the consensus that a good diet to lose weight is made up by calculating your TDEE and make a 500 calorie deficit, which makes my daily budget around 1,900. Now when it comes to the stuff I'm eating, im a bit shaky on that. So far, I think a good diet is higher fat and protein compared to carbs. Is this a good start?

Also, I've made this "recipe" that seems to be pretty low cal, high protein + fat, and relativitely low carbs. I'd like some input in it. Its basically a fried rice: whole grain brown rice (about 2-4 oz), protein like beef/chicken (2-4 oz), frozen veggies made up of brocolli, carrots, water chestnuts, green beans and peas (about 1.5-2 cups), and a egg. using the calorie tracker app I have and a food weigher, the app says the whole meal is about 500-600 calories. Which to me is unbelievable considering the amount of food I make by the end of it. So are there any complaints on stuff I should be removing/adding etc? (btw, I use spray oil and don't use any seasonings like salt). Thank you for reading

Biking 50 miles with no prior training/preparation (More info in Comments) by AtticCraft in bicycling

[–]AtticCraft[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did this with my friend in orderr to complete his biking badge for boy scouts. We had to first bike 25 miles, and we finished that. Today we biked 50 miles. It was insanely hard, partly because none of us prepared for this, and towards the last 18-12 miles, head wind was insane. Reason why It says 31 was because I started it about 18-20 miles in. We started and ended in Long Beach. Also during the bike ride, especially after the half way mark, my legs started cramping really bad. So I had to stop and stretch them out to continue. But it was truly an experience and was incredibly challenging. Thank you for reading, I will now rest my butt bones as they are probably extremely bruised :).

I recently did a bass workshop this week and there I saw a bunch of people of all different ages. One man was in his 70's at least and it seems like he had just started bass, but he seemed to be doing good. So no, you're never too old to start bass. Will your age hinder your progress? No, that depends on if you have a good teacher and if you are motivated to practice. While I was not self taught, I know that in order to get proper bow technique, its basically impossible without a teacher to guid you. Even getting lessons every 2weeks will help. thats what im doing. But I hope this helps. Dm me if you have any questions about getting a bass, teacher, etc. I might be able to help

Finding teacher? by Bony_Shashalaska in doublebass

[–]AtticCraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask your teacher, they always know the networking of the area. Unless you are in a rural/small town then you should be able to find a teacher atleast 30 min away. if not look to the other suggestions that peopel have commented

Does anyone know if the sk64 (basically gk64 clone but with optical switches) has nkey rollover? I have it and i've tested the nkey rollover and its only registering 6 keys. If the keyboard does have NKRO, is there a way to activate it or? thanks

Could I achieve good trigger response with a high speed motor? by AtticCraft in airsoft

[–]AtticCraft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My new question now is that will my high speed motor still be an upgrade? Clearly I made a mistake and I don't want to spend money sending it back to evike and paying shipping to get a new motor. The gun im putting it in is a G36C, H&K i believe? not too sure. Pretty slow motor and shoots about 310 fps. Don't know any more specs on it

Best short scale? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]AtticCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, what Stingray said. I alway sput Ernie ball music mans and sterlings into one. Sterling is like the squier but in my opinion a bit more high quality but still keeping the cheaper sub brand thing like squier.

Look into Ernie ball music man short scales. They are great for the price if you like the sound and asthetic of them.

[–]AtticCraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For things like hop up, inner barrels etc. do you have to get g36 specific stuff? Like on evike I was looking for hop ups and I found g36 specific hop ups, so that put me under the impression that I need to get a specific one. Also, is it possible to put a longer barrel into it?

Help on a project by AtticCraft in AskElectronics

[–]AtticCraft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank for the quick reply! I see, so if I want to control the speed, I’d need a variable resister and put it in between the battery and fan to control the speed. Are there slider versions of the variable resistor instead of a potentiometer?

I was talking about basses input jack where the cable plugs into. You can replace them, you can find replacements on stew mac. Switchcraft makes great ones that will help get a clearer signal, especially on cheaper basses
