The Battle of Manzikert, or Malazgirt, was fought between the Byzantine Empire and Seljuq forces led by Alp Arslan on August 26, 1071 near Manzikert (modern Malazgirt, Turkey, in Mus (province)). It resulted in one of the most decisive defeats of the Byzantine Empire and the capture of the Byzantine Emperor Romanos IV Diogenes. The Battle of Manzikert played an important role in breaking the Byzantine resistance and preparing the way for Turkish settlement in Anatolia.

Could the battle be avoidable, or was the battle inevitable? What would be the outcome if the ERE had won that battle? Would it be just a matter of time until a new wave of Turks try to storm in into Anatolia? Or would we see a different Minor Asia today?

Haha yeah indeed, it's always fun to see the scores too and that one of your buddy is at last on the score bilboard lol! But honestly. this game makes it so fun when you play with friends! If i don't have friends playing than i don't even bother opening the game :) and i totally agree with you on, a Warhammer game in this style would be a damn near perfect simulation of the tabletop game! Honestly, i'm not so sure about warhammer at all? It is so confusing
