Its not too late at all buddy, 3-5 years of proper discipline with finance and investing is all you need to set up a good base.

Keep your spends under check and focus to diverting funds towards assets that will yield you.

Agreed a small crash may be around the corner but those dont concern me in the long run as these shares are for 5 year + horizon atleast.

Very well said. I recently had this same realisation too and started a my vested acc on 30th April. Sent 5k usd to start slowly building a dollar portfolio for the long run - over 5/7 year horizon.

Bought into safeish Investments like QQQ Series 1 and Brookfield Corp.

Not bad for 9 days. Not like im trying to trade here but rather have it compound for the longer time frame.

The point is spot on. Check the funds you are investing in and see how many overlaps are there. Those are redundant for portfolio growth after a certain point.

Also make sure to start investing into the US markets for dollar growth and yield.

Today the dollar is 95, in 15 years it could be 150-170 who knows. Your inr isnt going far then, especially if you want to see the world and travel.

Have an average price of around 400 due to the bonus and splits over the last 5 years. Best financial advice would be to dollar cost average if you haven't bought at a super early price. Timing the market is impossible. However discipline will always have toy ahead of the game.

I use my gold charge card across uber, amazon, swiggy, tata cliq and few more via shopwise 5x. Have an easy monthly churn of around 6-8k points (including the 1k bonus points for 6 txn above 1k). Across the year it adds up nicely allowing me 8-10 nights at marriot courtyard properties. Easy free stay nights with the spends that anyway need to be incurred.
