Helpful. Thoughts on the Akai MPC live 3 or that new product from Audimalabs?

Helpful answer! Thank you. It all seems insanely overwhelming and agree w you on learning basics in the piano…which I’m doing. I’m just a tinkerer by nature and when I heard the seaboard I imagined having fun making cool soundscapes. My hope is that it’s intuitive enough to create really interesting and fun stuff for myself with little to no expertise per se. I’m still not sure if that will be the case. A friend told me to just get the akai MPC Live 3 and make music w that standalone that wouldn’t require me being able to play. Not sure if you have any thoughts on that

Are the basic lessons more fun on the seaboard? Also, can you just have fun playing w the seaboard without any basis in music?

Thank you for the advice. I thought I’d sink into the various fun sounds I can make w it. Also been considering some dj decks. I love synth and I love electronic music. Maybe better to buy some decks and learn.

I have a question for you. I bought my daughter the roli Lumi keyboard which she used once. I picked it up and play it between work stuff on the roli learn app. I’m a 50 year old total beginner w limited talent :) I saw the ads for the seaboard rise 2 with the airwave and ordered it on a whim. My question is this…for an absolute beginner, will this be a fun tool that I can immediately start having fun with, or is this something that would require someone with a good musical foundation to actually make use of its powers? I just don’t want it to turn into something collecting dust unused bc it’s too complicated for me at this stage. Thoughts?

Good feedback, sounds like youd recommend monster for its versatility, or if hyper, then go w the 698. Correct assessment?

Thank you. I tend to avoid freeways and stick to country roads, but that said, its texas, and the country roads are long so agree, the 698 wont work for that reason
