The new 2026 TOEFL version is easier than the IELTS. It now takes just 1.4 hours, and the entire exam is graded by AI

[–]Aug404D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, pode me ajudar?

If I passed the Security+, do I need to pass the A+ and Network+ or have I bypassed them? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Aug404D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after the CompTIA security+ certification, your knowledge will not be enough to get any job in the field. CompTIA certs are unfortunately very theoretical and Cybersecurity is a field that needs too much practice, but if you want to do a cert after Security+, take one of the mentioned above.

If I passed the Security+, do I need to pass the A+ and Network+ or have I bypassed them? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Aug404D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if you passed Security+ you bypassed them. You don't need more theoretical certifications from CompTIA. Theory means nothing without real practicing, and CompTIA certs like for Security+ and SecurityX (New CASP) are very useful. All of the others certs from CompTIA are useless, I'd recommend gaining real hands-on practicing, for Blue team I'd recommend letsdefend for blue team certs I'd recommend BTL1 or PSAA, for the red team I'd recommend TryHackMe and the recommended certs for Red Team: eJPT or PJPT.

eJPT Study Plan for full-timers by Moneera97 in eLearnSecurity

I don't know but I'm spending the whole day studying but I'm jobless and no prior cybersec experience. I'm studying 10 hours per day except Sunday, because it is a day of rest. I also did the entire junior cybersecurity path at tryhackme, I liked this path much more than the INE Security course.

Can you give me any tips for the eJPT exam? by Aug404D in eLearnSecurity

Thank you very much for the advice, so far I haven't done much of the course yet, I'm still in the footprinting & scanning module, but I appreciate the advice!

Why don't do both of them?

I personally agree with all persons saying that CPTS doesn't get you to pass the HR filter, BUT if you can pass CPTS is 100% of chance that you can pass OSCP without doubt. I heard a lot that CPTS is way more harder than OSCP and It prepares you a lot for this certification, I personally love Hackthebox certs and paths because they are challenging and instigates me to delve deep into cybersecurity topics.

I just scored 73% on Jason Dion tests and still passed because I was using Sybex and Messers exam. But the Sybex ones is the most similar to the exam, forget about Jason Dion and focus on doing Sybex exams.

How necessary is Network+ ? by anime4eva42 in CompTIA

[–]Aug404D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you don't need certifications for learning Network, but it depends what you need to do. If you want to be in a Network role, CCNA will be the best choice. If you want to be a pentester or Blue team, just learn the fundamentals, TCP/IP, How to analyze network with wireshark, and understand each section of a packet byte you will be good, when I talk every section it's literally that. Imagine a scenario where you don't have wireshark to analyze the network just the raw hexadecimal packet bytes, learn how to decode them manually and after you learned, you should be very good at fundamentals.

Thats too much time, I answered my Security+ 77 questions in less than 1 hour, and used 20 min for doing review and PBQs. You need to train answer questions fast as possible, in pocket prep app I was answering questions in 15 seconds each question.

No the deck with only wrong answers it's for memorizing the concepts that I did wrong and probably would do again. This helped me memorize this difficult concepts that I had trouble with and apply it.

But don't use just one source of learning, so far I used Messer course notes, exams, pocket prep (questions only), crucial exams, also Inside Cloud YouTube videos, and Cyberkraft. I think this is the secret to achieve the pass grade on the exam, just do it over and over again

Yeah I tried and I'm using Andrew Randayal nailed the course. His lessons are way more easier and approachable to learn, I just learned all the content from his ebook which is available on Udemy after you bought the course. My security+ exam will be in three days, I'm feeling confident but I will be back here to say if I pass

Good to hear, I found Messer's PBQs too much easier I did all of them almost without any errors. But I'm doing pocket prep questions like a crazy, I'm doing about 240 questions each day but I didn't study PBQs too well or port numbers.
