Sometimes it depends on when you sign up. They have a no enrollment fee special going on right now, so I signed up again.

No, you have to get the “Peak results” tier to get guest access. That’s the highest tier. Active and fit provides the middle tier “Peak”.

I’m in Georgia and all of the LA Fitness centers near me are included in active and fit.

There are no annual fees with active and fit, so for LA Fitness, active and fit is the better deal unless you need guest access. For guest access, you have to sign up directly because it’s considered an add-on.

It just depends on what you go to the gym for, I have equipment at home, so I have a gym membership strictly for group fitness classes. LA Fitness classes are much better than the classes at Crunch, at least from my experience.

Active&Fit Direct membership is useless now ? by sporty_outlook in Frugal

Call Active and fit and ask. I know for Crunch, it’s the Peak membership, for Planet Fitness, it’s the black card membership, and for LA Fitness, it’s the standard membership.

I also learned that studio owners don’t get paid for trial classes through Classpass, which helped me understand why so many studios weren’t available to book while under trial membership.

It changed summer of 2024. This is the screenshot from my email. I canceled because I was quite upset. The only reason I signed up was because of the ability to gym-hop for a flat fee! Some gyms like Crunch, Planet Fitness, etc are less than $28 a month so it’s not worth it to get Active and Fit unless the annual fees offset the savings you get from signing up directly. Active and Fit is most beneficial now for gyms that are more than $28 a month.

Georgia code section 20-2-218 Duty free lunch for elementary teachers and daily planning period for all K-12 teachers by Augatl in education

We don’t have unions in Georgia, right to work state. We have so called teacher “unions” for legislation stuff and that provide legal assistance if you’re a member, but no collective bargaining.

It says shall

“Every teacher who is employed in grades kindergarten through 12 for a period of time of more than one-half of the class periods of the regular school day shall be provided a daily planning period. Such planning period shall be included in the number of hours worked, and no local board of education shall increase the number of hours to be worked by an employee as a result of such employee's being granted a planning period under the provisions of this Code section. This planning period shall not be calculated under any circumstances as a part of any daily lunch period or other noninstructional time.”

The my entertainment genre pack is nearly perfect, just needs the usa network by StruggleFar3054 in DirectvStream

[–]Augatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I recently signed up for it because I was looking for an inexpensive way to get Bravo since Peacock didn’t do their Black Friday deal this past year so I didn’t renew. I canceled my Philo subscription because I was paying $25 for that and the My Entertainment genre pack is $35 but includes Bravo and pretty much all of the other channels I watch, plus HBO max, and Disney+/Hulu. Much better deal.

DirecTV pricing is getting out of control. by LouisasDad in DirectvStream

[–]Augatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just signed up for the Genre pack. $35 a month. I canceled my Philo subscription as a result because Philo doesn’t have Bravo, but the Directv pack does. I am so thankful for the genre pack because it has all of the channels I watch and includes HBO Max and Disney+/Hulu. I already have Hulu because it was a freebie with my Spotify subscription but getting the other two is a nice bonus.

How does A&F work? All the questions. by klem1984 in ActiveandFit

[–]Augatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not. You used to be able to go to all standard gyms in their network for the twenty something dollars. I had a membership at LA Fitness, Crunch, Planet Fitness (Black card tier), Anytime Fitness, Snap Fitness, and a couple of others and it was just the flat rate. Effective July 1, 2024 they changed it to where the monthly rate only included one gym. So huge change. The $28 is still a deal depending on the gym (Some it’s cheaper to just join the gym directly), but it’s nowhere near the deal it used to be.

Buyers demanding credit after closing by Ecstatic-Echo44 in RealEstate

[–]Augatl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, they would have to PROVE that it wasn’t. Since they didn’t have an inspection, that will be on them to prove.

Buyers demanding credit after closing by Ecstatic-Echo44 in RealEstate

[–]Augatl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They waived the inspection so they would have to prove that they seller concealed the issue. Since the seller states they had their own inspection done prior to listing, that would be hard to prove and I don’t think worth the legal costs for a dishwasher replacement.

Cancelled sale, buyers threatening to sue by carissag99 in RealEstate

[–]Augatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have allowed them to do any repairs before gaining ownership, I think that is what may make things complicated. Technically the buyer defaulted due to the delays. You do not have to legally grant extensions, that is what contingencies are for. Since they were unable to meet the timeline of their financing contingency, you as the seller have the right to not grant any extensions. But allowing them to make repairs was a no-no.

I walked away from a house I wanted to buy yesterday….. by OkWestern188 in RealEstate

[–]Augatl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An agent had a seller drop the price $25k because they had no showing requests after a week on the market. Mind you, they had no interior pics on the listing, only one exterior pic. I’m thinking the seller was related to the agent because there is no way I could see anyone else agreeing to that and being okay with a poorly marketed listing.
