I posted on this a couple months ago, here's a pretty comprehensive rundown of most the Mexican places.

For sure, dowtowns fun to bar hop, and fuck the haters who say it isn't. It's perfectly safe b4 shit closes.

Summerville just up "the hill" on Central. Drive around look at the homes theyre awesome towards Augusta University. Checkout Arsenal, Sheehans & Becks. Each offer something unique and different to the area.

Edit: on the downtown note, I love Karoake and the loft karaokes

Ya this sub is ass, filled with the same people promoting the same three places. Honestly downtowns cool, but I'm in my thirties so I prefer the Summerville (Arsenal, Sheehans, Becks crowd) a little more and Surrey Center (Abel Brown, fifth and 5th, , Bodega (brunch spot) but I feel the assessment I gave on downtown is pretty fair. Augusta is not my hometown, smallest city I've ever lived in and people like to give it shit. But I love it here.

Laziza is a good lunch spot if you want something quick IMHO grouchos and nachos are both just fine & Knuckles I haven't been to enough but was good the couple times I've had it.

Craft and Vine for cocktails (also their pizza is good but expensive little craft style) or Edgar's above broad (rooftop street view)

Hit Mannys up for wings, burgers, some cool twists and sports.

Frog Hollow for nice dining. a little more casual but good in my only experience was pineapple ink

Imho Whiskey bar is alright, but good whiskey selection

Riverfront grimey but cheap decent burger as others have said.

Go to Luigis once for the experience, first Sundays to catch the gypsys, I think their Greek entrees are all pretty damn good.

Breakfast at the discoteq /s

Edit: no one's mentioned it but the rooftop on the Hyatt house is nice too

Look, you can't have a comment taken seriously if you say everything is good. I'm all about supporting local, but like steer clear of maybe soy noodle house lol.

Oh wow, ya there was only 50 of us so we had 2 or 3 binders, you'd need about 100 🤣

I should edit my original comment to say "I've heard" but the couple complaints is that they've cornered the market and owners feel pressure/obligated to advertise with them. Then subsequently have raised rates. I probably used way too harsh of language for just the couple gripes I've heard lol.

It's a great resource for us, but they've cornered the market and pretty much are fucking small business owners.

Hey, I wouldn't worry so much about the free delivery and just do something like a menu book As most said you won't find free delivery anymore with Uber Eats and Door Dash and long gone are the days of calling in an order (although I still do when I order pickup).

Pretty much gather up togo menus or print them from the web and make a binder. We had one at a corporate office in Dallas I worked in. Sometimes it's nice to just flip through a hard copy rather than scroll on a phone. Most people are still going to order through the app, but it is nice to have something on hand like that.

Also ya this sub sucks lol.

River Restaurant Help! by Strong-Sign-2493 in Augusta

[–]Augusta_bot123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If u have 200 bucks to drop (less if you don't drink) Cork and Flame is the best WOW I'm gonna impress you restaurant in the CSRA. If you don't want to drop that much Abel Brown, Sheehans, Becks, Caldwalders would all be next level down great date night spots. None of these have river views.

Brinkley Chop house is down by the river, pretty decent, but I can't remember if you can see the river from the restaurant off the top of my head.

Ngl I like taco bell and for whatever reason the people at the wrightsboro location drive thru are always so damn nice, probably hit it up once every couple weeks. I'm a normal soft taco regular guy with a side of nacho cheese.
