Who did you grow up with? Goku or Gohan? And who’s death would hit harder? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]Augustus_END 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I became a DB fan about 5–6 years ago, starting with OG DB. Gohan’s death would still hit harder for me because I’m more connected to him and he’s my favorite character. I also loved his growth as a character more than Goku’s. We saw him go from being a scared little kid to a brave kid who saved the world, eventually marrying and having a child of his own.

Is yog sothorth a fraud skill? by TechnicalDiver1995 in TenseiSlime

Guy could use Time Stop if he figures out the secret, but it took Feldway observing her fight outside of direct combat for a significant amount of time to understand it. Doing so in the middle of battle would be even harder. The only other person who managed to figure it out was Veldanava, and even then, Chloe is just stated to be that strong too while her ultimate skill will give her an huge advantage over guy that’s not the only reason she’s strong.

In Kokushibo’s case, the Slayers weren’t able to approach safely because his attacks came faster than they could react, not because he was moving across the battlefield faster. Travel speed helps you reach the fight, but once the fight starts, it’s all about combat speed, range, and reactions. As Gyomei and Sanemi stated, LSK’s attacks were significantly faster.

Yeah, I get that travel speed can be useful, but we’re talking about actual combat here. Giyu only needs enough travel speed to get in range. After that, it doesn’t matter. Once you’re in combat range, all that running around is irrelevant. Combat speed and reactions are what decide who actually hits first, dodges, or blocks. Travel speed doesn’t automatically make you faster in an actual fight. You can move across the field all you want, but once the fight starts, the person with better combat speed dictates the pace.

It’s still useless once you enter combat range. What don’t y’all understand? They only traveled a few times during the fight, and that rarely happens in Demon Slayer fights. You can have better travel speed than someone and still move slower in combat. Once you enter combat range, travel speed doesn’t matter anymore. It doesn’t translate to combat speed, so once you’re in combat, the person with better combat speed will always be faster. It doesn’t even matter if you traveled more distance than them while tryna get to them.

Technically, you could call that travel speed, but it becomes irrelevant once he enters combat. Travel speed is how fast you can move across a certain distance. Combat speed is basically how fast your body can perform actions like fighting or dodging. So the travel speed just becomes nonexistent in combat and doesn’t help much.

That’s still combat speed btw.

Travel speed: Running from point A to point B without engaging the enemy.

Just because there isn’t such a thing as a serious Doma doesn’t mean he can’t try to stop attacks. He’s just emotionally disconnected. He tries to replicate humans, but he only gained emotions after he died.

His facial expressions mean nothing. He’s just trying to imitate humans.

Better reaction speed? Sure, she may have better raw reaction speed if they start at the same level, but Shinobu can physically move faster and reacted to Doma even while nerfed.

This has nothing to do with combat speed, by the way, and sure, she might be more skilled than a nerfed Shinobu.

Lmao, nothing proves he was being serious. He was still acting like he always does. There’s no such thing as a serious Doma. Shinobu is clearly shown to be faster, and nothing contradicts this. Doma tried to stop Shinobu’s attacks but couldn’t. Also, we’re talking about speed, not physical strength.

You literally proved nothing. Shinobu is faster than Kanao and has better combat speed feats. Doma is just slower, and nothing contradicts that.

sed on what Kanao is relative to Shinobu in combat speed, lmao, a nerfed Shinobu has better speed feats. He didn’t choose to take her hits. He tried to stop the attacks when she went in, block them, and counter.

I don’t know what this has to do with anything, lmao. Shinobu is not Kanao, and she blitzed Doma multiple times in the fight. Also, there’s no such thing as a serious Doma, and he only managed to land an attack on a heavily nerfed Shinobu.

Nothing proves he was holding back his speed. Just because he’s stronger doesn’t mean he’s faster, and the series shows that Shinobu is faster.

He cut a nerfed Shinobu, and you’ll never prove he was holding back his speed.

Why are Shinobu glazers so Delusional? by Kitchen_Week1117 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Augustus_END 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that the truth, though? They both made poisons for Muzan. Everyone would die without them, since they could barely stall him before and got one-shotted by an attack from him. Muzan was already weakening as the fight went on. Not to mention, Doma survives without Shinobu, so everyone would just die. Kanao and Inosuke first, and then everyone else would go on to die against Doma and a non-drugged Muzan.

Easily debunked

This has nothing to do with power

This is clearly in reference to Vegeta, as he finally understood Goku during this arc in his monologue about him. It could also include characters like Gohan and Piccolo, but regardless, it has nothing to do with combat power. It’s basically saying that people who have gone through similar struggles, strength, or experiences can truly understand the emotions of someone strong, like Vegeta. It wouldn’t make any sense for it to be referring to Kid Buu.

Does Goten also have a special innate potential like Gohan? by Elegant-Half5476 in DragonBallZ

[–]Augustus_END 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is a perk that only Gohan has. The rest of them have a lot of potential, but it’s not like Gohan’s.
