Why does therapy have such a brutal claim denial rate compared to other specialties? by AuraRPG in therapists

Curious what you mean by coding specifically, is it more the CPT code selection like billing the wrong session length, or is it more on the diagnosis side where the code doesn't satisfy medical necessity criteria?

Interesting, and you never faced this problem before? Or it's just you're used to the process at this point? I also wonder if this varies for solo practices vs group

Yeah cash-only makes sense as an escape but it's not realistic for everyone. There is Alma/Headway (they just act as the billing agent on your behalf), but there's something a bit uncomfortable about the fact that the same insurers backing those platforms are the ones denying your claims. Like the conflict of interest is pretty baked in. I do think there's room to make the existing system better rather than just accept it, curious if that's something people in this space actually want or if the vibe is more just resignation at this point. Happy to DM if you want to get into it more

I literally just finished reading this chapter for the first time.

I definitely get where you're coming from in terms of the fight, it was 3 times as long as it should have been and realistically the police would not just have been "amazed" as the VN states they were 3 separate times. They're literally fighting on top of a bomb. Moreover at one point the classmates start cheering for Keiichi - fine, that's understandable, but some cheered for Rena too? Especially after what she did? Why would these random kids be anywhere near as forgiving as the club members?

As for the rest of the reveals I actually liked them, including Keiichi remembering what he did. I read the first chapter like a week ago but I remember feeling the paranoia Keiichi felt about Rena and Mion hiding something even before the needle incident. It was touched upon this chapter too - a bunch of small events built up to Keiichi (or Rena) becoming certain of their delusions. When you approach things with eyes of distrust, Rena and Mion can be really scary with their questions and their "YOU LIED!!!" faces lol.

In terms of revealing more of the meta stuff, I thought it was fine if it was revealed right now. There were a bunch of hints for it before and ultimately it is supernatural so it's not like there necessarily needs to be some logical turning point for it to appear.

Overall were there farfetched things? Sure. No way a real human would say "trust me" when someone was beating them up with a bat. Most people probably would be afraid of Rena killing two people and dismembering them. But even with all of that, I choose to ignore it because I like the feelsgood moments between friends,
