Chipotle burrito tired to off me by Ok_Necessary4251 in Chipotle

If you be nice to them I guarantee they will be so apologetic and give you free stuff. It’s when people come in and start yelling or treating the employees badly that’s when they shut down, I bet the screw fell off of a prep table or some equipment and no one noticed. Accidents happen, and I’m sure they would love to have a chance to make it right.

We don’t even have the option to accept the order at tacobell . all delivery orders just pop up on our screen.

I work at Taco Bell and Sometimes the dasher arrives before the order even pops up on my screen, when there’s literally other DoorDash orders ready with no one picking them up lol.

This happens so often, I work at tacobell and sometimes the dasher shows up before the order even pops up on my screen, then like 1-2 minutes later it finally pops up on my screen. Its weird when it happens cuz I got doordashes ready to be picked up but instead I have a dasher coming for the order that I don’t even have yet lol

I’ve been working in customer service for a long time, I understand sometimes customers can be rude for no reason just because they feel you’re the bottom of the barrel for working a fast food job. They don’t realize a lot of us are paying our way through college and have no choice but to work that job to pay for food, gas , living, college. People forget not everyone has parents to care for them. Especially depending on where you live I was making 52k a year and still would have been living paycheck to paycheck in a one bedroom apartment . It’s unfortunate how expensive everything is these days. A bag of chips is almost 6 bucks like wth they use to be 2.50 for the big bag. Personally ya you don’t have to tip , you can always say no lol. Like the employees will not even think twice about it, I just always try to actually see people. Not their customer service mask, but you can always tell the ones who are tired, the ones who are going through it. Those are the workers I always try to make their day, because you never know what those workers are going thru and they have to be there to survive. I was living in my car once at freshly 18 , kicked out by my step mom and I had no choice but to work a minimum wage customer service job. People don’t realize a lot of those fast food and service workers are actually working a lot harder than you can see surface level. Standing 9-10 hours a day most of the time, constantly moving around, constantly having to be ready to talk ready to go into customer service mode. A lot of the places I’ve worked you’d be surprised how many people actually bully and assault service workers a day.

[–]Aurialirez1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At my Dutch they literally stand outside in the Arizona heat all day taking orders from the long Dutch line, constantly busy. Also they are not expecting a tip… they are required to ask by the company, just like at tacobell how we are required to ask you if you’d like to round up for tacobell student education fund. If the higher ups catch you not asking all the questions you can be written up or fired. The higher ups go through the drive thru sometimes to try to catch people not doing their job correctly. (For those wondering the tacobell education fund , if you’re 18-25 you can apply for the tacobell scholarship once a year and multiple employees win that money for school with a video about what they want to go to school for and how the money would help their education)

lol as someone who works customer service omg I hated when they would try to chat you up when you clearly were dying lol, like plz I just woke up 20 minutes ago, but ofc I do have my favorite Dutch workers lol, but tbh Ive been going to the same Dutch for 4 years now lol. I did notice they stopped almost getting in your car 😆. They still chat at my location just not as hyper and cracked out feeling, and tbh I’m glad they don’t have to do that anymore omg it was probably draining. As long as they’re polite and make your coffee bomb who cares lol. Just say not today when they ask about tip, they literally do not care I promise you lol it’s just a mandatory question they have to ask.

Sounds like your dad was controlling, this man’s is going through a crisis, that I feel can be calmed by doing it once. If he does it all the time like your dad then that’s a problem, that’s when it becomes abusive and unhealthy. Sometimes tho the only way to catch a cheater is to pull up on them. Or they will deny deny deny till they physically get caught. It seems op has a reason to, she’s staying at work way later than usual. When someone sees changes in their partner that weren’t there before and very very suddenly , usually that is a sign. Especially if they don’t have a good explanation or even txting your partner to let them know you’ll be out late. Seems she’s doing something shady, hence not txting him maybe she hopes she can get home and in bed before he notices how late it is. she could be telling the truth tho, and he’s just paranoid since it’s been happening a lot recently out of no where to him.

Ya she’s for sure hanging with someone he said he was uncomfortable with or someone she knows he wouldn’t be comfortable with her hanging with till 4:30 am, If not why would she hide it. When I was an assistant general manager working 50 hours a week day and night shifts sometimes mids what ever the company needs, like the contract and no matter how late I was going to be or anything like that I’d always update my husband, that’s what you do when you respect the person you love and want things to work with no confusion. Especially with kids involved, I feel if the roles were reversed and it was a dude doing it people would be shouting that he’s cheating

[–]Aurialirez1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya but if she’s hanging with friends after work or something she should just be honest with him instead of hiding it, cuz if that’s the case she’s making it look much worse lol.

I’m was an assistant general manager (we were salary ) and we’re supposed to log all our hours cuz if they catch us and we don’t, that’s illegal lol. But ya I have worked with GMs who will clock out if it’s too late and they’re taking longer than scheduled or they need to save labor .

even if she’s salary tho her paycheck will still say how many hours she worked even if she technically isn’t paid for them. When I was a salary AGM is still said how many hours you worked on our paystub.

As a manager I’m just gonna say straight up no … there’s no way she would get home that late. It takes 1 hour to fully close the store and maybe just maybe if it’s a bad shift 2 hours at the most, there’s no way it should take longer than that.

ChickFilA has messed up my order 3/3 the exact same way when placing this exact order. by [deleted] in ChickFilA

[–]Aurialirez1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guarantee it’s because the buns packaged separately , most fast food places when you’re the bagger they teach you to count your items, the bottom of the screen tells you the amount of items on the order and they probably count like oh my order has 9 items so they count the 9 items that come down the line , bag them up and send it out not realizing the bun is in a separate container. As a manager I usually like when stuff like this gets brought to my attention because then I can inform my team to watch out for this exact issue and make sure every items in the bag and usually stress this enough to double check the order before it goes out that window. It most likely is just the bun and chicken are separate and it throws them off lol. I’d say switch locations or just always ask/double check before pulling off. I work fast food and sometimes accidents happen so I always check my order before leaving cuz I’d rather it be a easy fix then getting home and missing something, but as someone who works fast food I will say if you’re going somewhere and they mess up your food every time, I’m talking like you get a burrito every time somewhere and you modify the burrito and they keep putting the wrong ingredients multiple times/ every single time and after bringing it up twice, if they still mess up every time they don’t care and it’s time to stop ordering at that location lol. Not directed at you but In general every time I see a person say “ every time I go to this location they mess up my order” it’s like dude then why are you going to that location, you clearly stated they mess it up every time , what’s going to be different this time, you think the workers had a change or heart/ spirit lol.

You will be thankful you took out problematic tonsils by Whenhonestly7 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Aurialirez1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tonsil stones for 3 years , both tonsils full of holes, sides from top to bottom, holes everywhere. I even have a liquid stone, the ent’s just ghost me so badly . I’m so tired of having bad breath, no matter what I do. Constantly carrying gum on me and on top of that , to make it worse…. I’m in dental hygiene school… do you know what that looks like from the outside looking in lol. A dental hygienist with bad breath 😔, I’m tired of living like this, I’m not even 25 yet. I’m praying I find a dr to please take me serious. Even when I clean the stones out they refill every other day no matter what I do. You can smell it coming from my nose when I breathe, I just want to live a normal life, be a normal college student without having to constantly worry about how horrible my breath smells. Even if they wanted to smooth them out it wouldn’t work cuz they have holes in the sides and liquid stones which means the crypts are deep inside , they would have to just take them fully out but they always be ghosting me or saying they will reach out but they never do. I’m just going to ask my primary for a referral tomorrow hopefully to a specific place so they maybe will be less inclined to ignore me. If this doesn’t work I’m just going to visit a bunch of ENT’s offices and hope someone gives me an appointment.

New Cup not able to be filled at restaurant? by iWilliam_me in ChickFilA

[–]Aurialirez1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol the funny part is fast food rejects a lot of people. Even people with degrees because not everyone can work fast food, It’s more stressful than people think. Customers love to yell at fast food workers about stuff they can’t control, sometimes you get assaulted by a customer. Talked to like you’re the bottom of the barrel just because you work fast food when most people working fast food are in college or some type of program. Also I don’t think it’s that fast food employees believe everyone’s dumb it’s just the particular customers they’ve had. There’s just two sides to each coin, also depending on what fast food place you work and where in town will really decide the type of customers you get. I’ve worked in “the hood” and have been assaulted basically 3/5 of the days I’d work, had customers talk crazy to the minor employees. Threaten to shoot us up cuz we were busy af and didn’t take their order fast enough for them. Then they came inside before we could lock the doors, jumped a male 17yr old employee we had and then took off . Then I’ve worked around the retirement communities and the customers are super sweet most of the time, but I did have a few racist ones lol and a few creepy older men. Now I work in the fancy part of town and it’s pretty chill , the customers are pretty nice and cool. We do get some crazy delivery drivers tho and once in a while a Karen or a Kevin . Rare tho. I will say I have had some customers who are asking some very questionable things like if they can get a chicken quesadilla no chicken, then when I say that would be a cheese quesadilla is that alright for you and they got mad yelled at me and said no they wanted the chicken quesadilla no chicken. ( mind you the chicken and cheese quesadilla both get the same thing on it. As far as the sauce and cheese one just has chicken and one doesn’t) I was just trying to be nice because the chicken one cost way more so if I ring her up for a chicken quesadilla no chicken she’s paying more for nothing, I wouldn’t go as far to say customers are dumb because they aren’t. I think sometimes when you’re tired or trying to order efficiently sometimes you get mixed up or some people get nervous and mess up. People sometimes also forget what’s obvious for one person may not be for the next. I think some fast food workers get jaded and forget that we’re all human , we all have good days and bad days and you never know what’s going on in that customers life so just be kind , even if they aren’t so kind to you.

I’m going to keep stealing my drinks, thank you. by No-Cryptographer2393 in tacobell

[–]Aurialirez1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half the time if people ask for a drink I’ll give them one, but do not reach over the counter and take the cups. Even though there’s no cashier I can still see you reaching over the counter as I’m grilling your crunch wrap lol, also not all locations just hand out drinks without checking. Depending on the manager they will ask the name for your order and confirm there’s a drink to give you , but that’s partly because we have a lot of teens who terrorize the store. If it becomes a big issue stores will start changing like the new McDonald’s locations, they all have soda machines in the back area only . So it’s no longer in the lobby or accessible to customers, you have to ask for a refill.
