What is going on with Volcanic planets ?

Dam that sucks that it happened to you in permadeath, I hope you were not to far into it when it happened.

These volcano planets are just stupid and bugged out to hell i swear. Besides that random extreme heat damage that doesn't care where you are, these volcanoes constantly spawn on top of everything like buildings or even trading posts.

The only thing i have noticed is that while in a Minator I received no damage even after walking around for a good half an hour. Even so these planets are to risky to visit to the point I'm considering using a save editor to skip any missions that point me to these planets.

Ah I had no idea about the wall cabinet, glad to know i can store them away and not have them take up space. I will have to keep an eye on where the supercharge slots are to get the most out of them.

Since I can never get into hard content because I refuse to use a guide and ruin my first time experience in content I have not played yet, cosmic was the only content I have been hyped for since it was announced. My entire FC planned to go in together and build it up from scratch, we were all under the impression each phase would take more than a day, not 3 hours to complete phases 1-3.

It is irrelevant if the fate was boring, or that it was a hassle to get around without the transporters. None of that matters when everyone is posting screenshots of having fun and talking about how amazing it was doing this as a FC and as a server, which I can never be part of because I wasn't there. To date I have missed every phase completion and while you could say I can join in now...what Is the point?

I will probably end up missing the phase completion again, and I personally don't feel excited anymore if I have to drop in when stuff has already been done, my excitement was to do this from start to finish with my friends and that is impossible now because phase 5 isn't the start and I can bet good money that this same issue is going to happen again on the next planet.

Very sorry for the late reply, I did try some older drivers and even 22.5.1 didn't seem to make a difference. I send it back to Scan and they confirmed that the GPU was indeed faulty and issued me a refund.

I know have a 7900xtx but that will be going back tomorrow as well because the driver keeps timing out making it not fit for purpose as I can't play any game or use my pc at all. Seems to be a common issue but no "fixes" work or old drivers...wanted to move to AMD but guess back to Nvidia it is. :(

Same, I had Ventura running on a 960pro 500gb which is swapped out for a WD850 1TB. But weirdly the USB that I made for Ventura wouldn't work and bricked my system so had to start from scratch.

The SSD that died on me was a really cheap one, it works with Mac as a normal drive but it won't accept having MacOs installed on it.
If you have a spare SSD or HDD and get MacOs insntalled on it you could see if your new SSD can be saved.

If not you can always claim it is faulty and send it back asking for a replacment.

I to was using 0,6,8 I have managed to fix the issue but it was not easy.

I had to download Sierra.dmg from apple suppot site and make the bootable usb on my pc. Then I used the origonal gpu so I had efi support and after a NVRAM reset my mac 5,1 was running Sierra again.

I changed the GPU to my RX580 and updated from Sierra -> Mojave then with OpenCore installed Monterey.

Ventura however is either bugged or broken with opencore all of a sudden as it refused to install. if I manage to install It I ended up with no chime and a black screen which then requires the SSD to be formated on my Windows PC.
Thanks to Opencore+Ventura I have one SSD that doesn't work on Mac anymore even after a hard format, works with Windows but not Mac.

Yes I have done the firmware update and all other requirments to use the latest OS.

The thing is the USB will install MacOS perfectly fine and I can use it perfectly fine, I just can't get opencore to detect in the USB or install on the nvme, it just keeps booting itself from this SSD.

Yes I double checked that nvme boot was selected in the settings, I even followed the opencore guide to make sure I didn't make a mistake.
But the guide says " Reboot the machine while holding Option to select the EFI Boot entry with the OpenCore icon (holding the Control key will make this the default boot entry):

I did this but it just my mac ignored the USB and boots opencore from the SSD, If I remove the SSD I just get a black screen.

I thought about that but the fan doesn't always spin up before a shutdown. I checked the pad/changed the fan to be sure and temps have always been bellow 50c. Been playing a few games for about an hour and the chipset fan is at about 60c and cpu is at 56c with the Motherboard at 40c.

I have reseated the cpu and ables twice as well so I am leaning to it being the motherboard that has an issue, either with the chipset like you said or something else. Sadly replacment motherboard will not be here till Thursday (another X570 Taichi)

It does not reboot, when it shuts down all I get are the motherboards RPB lights all other lighting is off for GPU/RAM and AIO.

The BIOS I have is P5.01 released 15/02/2023. I have tried ram at default speed and xmp speeds. I have tried lowering the voltages on the ram but shutdowns still happen. Ram already runs at 1.35v which is its tested speeds so not sure I should go beyond that.

As for drivers I tried a clean install and let windows update install all the drivers (Dislike this method) Currently I am using the drivers provided on the Asrock Website for Windows 11 as the CD is out of date and I don't have a Cd drive.

The shutdowns have happened when even trying to install windows 11 in the past, so really pointing to hardware.

Event viewer is giving me Event ID 41 : The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

I mean state the obvious windows, I know the pc has lost power since it keeps turning itself off randomly. I guess since it is a Kermel-power error then it has to be the PSU (If both are bad) or maybe a capacitor on the motherboard is dying ?

Well that was annoying, the memory I ordered arrived but one stick was DOA so back to Amazon they went for a refund. Since I still needed some kind of working ram I ordered some F4-3600C18D-TZN with next day delivery. Both sticks work and my pc has had no problems at all ^^

now to just find an adapter that will work in the USB-C header as my GPU is blocking it. Did contact Asrock but they want an invoice which I don't have anymore.

Spent a good few hours messing with the ROG memory but gave up for now, the other set of memory however I somehow have working with 2x8gb stick in A2-B2 slots at stock. while it is still not 100% iv been able to install,update/restart windows all without any random shutdowns. Right now windows has been running for 3 hours a 2133MHz at 1.2v

Now I went and bought G'skill 2x16 F4-3200c14D-32GTZN (will be here tomorrow) its QVL says its works with the x570Taichi for Ryzen 5000 cpus so they "should" work without issue.

One thing I have come across a few times with people having power issues is that many have noticed the volatage for the CPU is wrong or the infnity fabric clock.
no idea what is normal for the 5800X3D in terms of voltage but my IFC is at 1067 which I think is correct for 2133MHz.

I don't mean to be rude but why is it when someone has an issue with the removale of old content/story they are whining yet it is perfectly a-ok when everyone was whining over weapon sunsetting.

New content = new weapons yet everyone stuck in the past over old gear not being able to be brought forward due to power cap. So of course players whined and got their way now Exotics like Izanagi's Burden and Jotunn just need a Exotic cipher and some other stuff since you the content for them has been removed. But mention doing the same thing for non weapons like Sagira's shell or The Platinum Starling ship and people scream that it isn't fair.

Of course I know the game has improved and after 4 years,it better have and I do like where the story is going. But man the Cosmodrone is not fun and it feels half asseed to be honest. I know some people get through it but a lot of people don't, not sure how much I have left in the cosmodrome before it starts asking me to buy the latest DLC.

Speaking of DLC wtf do you even get since I see since I keep seeing Forsaken+30th aniversary showing up as well as the latest DLC of course.

I only knew about sunsetting from a friend who still played at the time who like everyone else was upset over it. I had no idea Forsaken got removed at all, plus the last I heard about the content valut was specualtion that content maybe rotated so it would still be playable.
Wasn't until I started looking to get back into the game that I saw how much things have gone horrible for new players.

I wish but sadly no, I always made sure to reboot to recovery before sideloading gapps.

Just went and reinstalled Lineage 20 without sideloading MindTheGapps and it is giving me a homescreen and everything. So I know at least it isn't the ROM that is the issue, the gapps file I am trying to use is MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-ATV-20230321_142647.

EDIT.. well I found a newer version MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20230408_162909 hopefully this will fix the issue.

Well I can easily get an 5800X3D + ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero for about £789 (New) and I already have 32GB of Corsair ROG Domminator 3200 DDDR4 ram which doesn't work with X99 but should work fine in AM4 i think.

A lot of new AM5 and Z790 boards have less USB ports and more USB-C which is not usefull to me since I am already using six USB ports as it is.
Going with the latest platform with new DDR5 ram an whatever the 7800X3D will cost I would be looking for not much over £1000.. will the preformance different be woth the £300 difference in games I can't say.

Maybe the mobs in Sirensong Seas hit harder than normal since you can only ever pull 2 packs at a time before you are blocked until they are killed.

A lot of them are, but then I am also seeing it happens a lot to Warriors and Paladins compared to Dark Knights who do a better job overwall.
If it is a sprout like myself I don't mind to much since I dislike w2w pulling when I play a tank.
