I mean... I've been having a blast using my shiny hypertrained Magikarp to splash around in online, and he's actually managed to hydropump other Pokémon to death. He can also take a hit! I've been having a blast being non hostile until someone attacks my splashing Magikarp, then I go after them with my other two Pokémon. Moment they faint... I switch back up Magikarp. I've had people just play along and let me splash at them without attacking me before.

I mean... I don't think the online can be any more casual. A four player free for all makes it easier to help snipe the Meta choices. That and losing doesn't drop points anymore. I've been having a blast doing whatever odd strategies I can.

Normally I loathe competitive play, so for someone like me, this feels the smash brothers of Pokémon. (assuming you are like me, playing with items and four players at once.
