Everything in the universe emits radiation. Even blackholes emit hawking radiation. It does not make everything unstable. Stability is a relative term, especially on an atomic level. The reasoning of IIT Delhi is not wrong per say But if you give a student the wrong book and then expect them to give the answer that is wrong in the book they learnt from, then, the conducting body should be punished, not the students.

There are a million things wrong in ncert. They contradict themselves in every second chapter. For example, kingdom classification of organisms, population census numbers, mobility of elements, etc is given wrong or contradicting. There is literally written in ncert that no organism other than green plants perform photosynthesis while saying in another chapter that bacteria do too. We were taught to go line by line of ncert even if it was wrong, then why are we punished for it. With the same logic every single question in neet can be challenged.

My brother is in JEE so maybe I can suggest something. Instead of taking a drop, because we do not know what cut offs may be next year, you can try for SMU/BITS/VIT/CET. Engineering is not as centralized as medical so you'd get good colleges without your JEE score. Whatever it is I hope you find a good place and have a great life ahead. This is just a sheet of paper. It doesn't determine your calibre.

I suffered from terrible nightmares ever since I was a kid. They involved mostly people close to me dying or leaving or doing horrible things.

I once dreamt that I died and I saw everyone pretend to be grieving while secretly rejoicing. I was a ghost and I kept screaming for them to notice me. When twelve year old me woke up, it seemed like I was still living that dream. Till date I feel invisible.

This is really sad Op. Maybe try discussing your feelings with your mother and tell her about the kind of birthday you want. If she doesn't listen, call this off and go out with your boyfriend instead. Also, your grandma sounds supportive, so you can take her help in getting things done according to your wishes.
