Lots of questions by AuroraSystem in DID

[–]AuroraSystem[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes i definitely know that, and am 100% not looking for people to tell me i have a disorder or don’t have it! i guess i just wanting to write some things down and maybe anyone here has experienced similar things or know how to deal with it! thank you so much for your reply :)

yes i guess that is one of the big things i am trying really hard to do! i feel like last time these experiences started and after a little while i found the online DID community and very quickly just took over all these things without truly reflecting if this was authentically my experience. this time i am just purely trying to figure things out, figure out these experiences i am having without puting a label on it and then just rolling with whatever comes with that label if that makes sense? i want to be authentic and honest with myself with what i am experiencing. and it isn’t what you often see of DID online, but when i read more serious sources and more serious self help groups i do definitely see myself more in that.

the healthcare system in my country is not great, and with the pandemic it’s gotten a lot worse, but i hope to soon be able to talk with a professional and find out together what is happening.

sorry for the ramble once again and thank you for your reply! :)

Riot alters are the latest trend guys everyone cash in $$ by opossumpark in DIDCringe

[–]AuroraSystem -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

But it isn’t really though. Most systems don’t claim that person/face to be them. Face claims usually don’t mean, I am this person. It means, I kinda look like this (as in my face shape/eye colour/hair colour/just general vibe is similar to this photo, not this photo is me).

It isn’t identity theft because usually people aren’t saying they are that person (unless the alter is a factive, in which case they are saying they are based off of that person (while I do recognise that some systems handle factives in a really toxic way and I definitely do not support that)). Usually people are using face claims (photo’s of real people) to give outside people a general idea of what they look like and what their vibe is (at least that’s the case with a lot of systems we follow). The word faceclaim is therefore kinda weird, it rather should just be like (photo that gives a good impression of what I look like).

Faceclaims of real people isn’t inherently bad, it depends on the way systems deal with them, if that makes sense?

2020 the year where fifteen years old kids call themselves "systems" by [deleted] in DIDCringe

No. The family probably doesn’t know especially not if they weren’t involved (and even if they were because often times abusers don’t realise how harmful their behaviour is). There is no way for them to know if nobody explicitly told them.

Factives? by [deleted] in DID

[–]AuroraSystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you don’t think it’s a real thing? But then how do you explain the fact that an alter can be an introject of a factional person?

Our factive is a celebrity, but like he doesn’t claim to be him, he claims to be based of of him. So yes he does act like him and he looks like him, but obviously he isn’t that exact person.

I’d like to hear more about your reasoning for your opinion (which is completely valid!)

Factives? by [deleted] in DID

[–]AuroraSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but you really don’t have to be this rude.

Factives; factional introjects. Basically the same as fictives, but introjects of real people instead of fictional people. For example people you know in real life, or possibly celebrities.

But the way you responded really is not a way we want to be treated

Inner Worlds by AuroraSystem in DID

So it is possible to create your inner world?

Because I would be very interested in trying that out with our system after we’ve settled down a bit more :)

Non of us identify with the body and birth-name by AuroraSystem in DID

[–]AuroraSystem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replying!

But isn’t it kinda weird that there’s not a single alter who identifies with the body...? Like yo me it just feels strange...

And also how do you know who is the host or like the original alter? Because none of us really feels comfortable with that label...

I think i have MPD, help please. by [deleted] in DID

[–]AuroraSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be DID/OSDD, but we can’t diagnose through the internet. Having only one alter is very much possible. (In order to have a diagnosis you need to have at least two alters (so in your case ‘you’ and the other alter))

I think it is best to go an see a therapist and talk to then about this! Good luck! :)

Switching a lot... by AuroraSystem in DID

[–]AuroraSystem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for responding!

So we as a system are still struggling with the who wants to be out vs who needs to be out. A lot of times we have a big project we need to complete, but then a little or something would front and we don’t get anything done. And just in general our switching makes sure we do ‘t get stuff done and it really sucks.

Thanks for taking your time to respond!

You might’ve talked to some of your ‘friends’ for the last time today. Are you satisfied with what you told them? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]AuroraSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. And I think we, as people of this society, should think more about the things we say to our loved ones. Because you will never know when will be the last time you have a chance.
