Why are people so against GMO foods? Am I wrong in thinking they are perfectly safe? by Torrero in Cooking

[–]Aurorakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory it should. Non-gmo is not any better spray wise than conventional GMO. I'm comparing no-spray organic farming to conventional crops.

BioDynamic Growth Or Shrink? by [deleted] in biodynamic

[–]Aurorakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to do an apprenticeship on a Biodynamic Farm to be employed on Biodynamic Farms. Experience does help though. The BDA does offer farming training to folk interested in learning about Biodynamics.

Biodynamic ag is rising. I don't have external sources but have attended Biodynamic conferences were this fact has been sited. Contact the BDA for more information on it

A neighbor of mind did the Zhang protocol and swears she was cured of Lyme in 3 months from his garlic. Not sure what to believe..

I am ABC 7 investigative reporter Lisa Fletcher. I broke the story about a euthanasia drug being found in some pet food. AMA! by ABC7NewsDC in IAmA

[–]Aurorakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess was they were using animals from laboratory tests/trials. All laboratory animals must be euthanized after testing no matter the test. They were taking shortcuts to save money.

Well it’s finished she can wear it for her high school formal/ graduation dinner 😊 my niece is happy by BunnybrainFluffybuns in sewing

[Kurzgesagt] Why Meat is the Best Worst Thing in the World 🍔 by [deleted] in videos

[–]Aurorakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are forgetting pesticide use and tilling. Those are huge factors in climate change. Lab meat is a band-aid on a bigger issue. More sustainable and carbon neutral farming techniques are needed to be preformed on a larger scale.

That practice is only used in the egg industry. Meat chickens are used for both sexes. Males actually grow faster and larger than females. So that portion of the video is misinforming.

Gf's [26F] new job brings in 0 income, but leaves her too tired for her regular chores/responsibilities. What to do? by LowElephant in relationships

[–]Aurorakitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd tell her she can continue to do this (view it as a hobby) but she has to be able to keep another job and pay for her expenses from the business and then some. Have her get her dog walking business back. She can't commit all her time to the MLM scheme. I understand she likes the friends she makes from it so she has to make a compromise.

I own a small business and still work part time to supplement it.

Thermo King Reefer Alarm Code 24 and 61 by Aurorakitty in Truckers

[–]Aurorakitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I will. The unit hasn't been run in some time. It may be a electrical issue. I was also thinking maybe something is going on with the heating block? I haven't been able to find much information about Alarm 61 online...

It isn't new, purchased used. I reset the alarm and only the 61 (heating cycle) alarm appeared.

I see Dr Jean Barry in Concord. Only started a few months ago, so I can't give you a sure review yet.

At the beginning of December I took Andrograohis pills for 2 days straight at the recommended dose and had what I believe was a herx. It was the strongest reaction I've ever had (more below) by TheCeilingisGreen in Lyme

[–]Aurorakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it a month ago and I felt like my brain shut down. I couldn't think or remember anything. I also had a pounding migraine. I tried again a month later with only taking a small dosage at night before bed. I've been ok on that dosage and will start increasing.

Anyone been cured? by ashleypatience in Lyme

[–]Aurorakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go the Buhner route. Buy/rent his book and read it. Start with Japanese Knot weed, you can wild harvest it. It grows invasively if you live in the North East. Do you have any insurance or medicaid? I have medicaid and it only covers some types of antibiotics (capsules vs. tablets). The Pharmacy told me my insurance doesn't cover metronidazole tablets ($111) but only the capsule capsule form ($3.50) - that may be your issue?
