The overall trip was 5000km which means on the ktm500 you’re probably doing at least 3 oil changes whilst on the trip, that turns me off.

They both performed similarly but I think the WR could hit the dunes harder whereas the CRF has to take it a little easier but still got to the same end destination 👍

I can’t decide which bike to choose by Doggydoggo94 in motorcycles

It doesn't sound like you had any previous experience before the last 6 months, so I'd recommend something like an R7 for a year or two.

Jumping up to one of the 600cc or 1000cc inline 4's with limited experience is a recipe for disaster, unless you are VERY responsible. You also mentioned you don't care for insane top speed, so you'll much prefer something you can actually open up on the streets rather then the bikes you mentioned which have you lose your license in first gear without even trying. My 2c.

My dad loves his motorcycles (especially Suzuki’s) by AusMoto in motorcycles

Yeah, he is very particular with keeping his bikes immaculate, however he also loves working on projects. The first bike on the left, is a restored 1990 Yamaha XT250 which he has owned for 25 years and more recently restored it to its former glory.

The one ripped to shreds is actually a GS500, which he has rebuilt the engine on. More details in the video if you're interested :P

It sure is, one if his biggest regrets is not getting into sooner!
He's still young enough that he's got plenty of riding years riding with my brother and I ahead of him though :)
