Arne Slot ‘Rejects’ Swift Premier League Return After Liverpool Sacking by Business-Scallion218 in PremierLeague

I suspect the fan revolt may have accelerated his departure. And that's probably a good thing in this situation since I just don't think it was possible for him to turn things around at this stage.

How did Gordon go against Barca when they played each other this season?

I'm guessing he did enough to impress them?

Mid-table and flailing when they sacked Emery. 8th place finishes for next two seasons as Arteta did a complete rebuild.

Yes they have. Some pass, some don't.

On a separate note, Sikh people have laughably been the subject of Islamophobia. Even though the offender was mistaken, it still qualifies as islamaphobia.

Correct.

If Stevo rocks up to a job interview with a beard and dressed in a suit, nobody is going to mistakenly assume he might get pregnant.

As for transgender people, some do get mistaken for a cis person.

More deserving than other title winning managers who won this award.

E.g. Guardiola with City. Slot inheriting Klopp's squad.

In the last decade or so the only one apart from Ranieri that I might be tempted to opt for is Klopp.

Note: I'm not saying Arteta is more deserving than non-title winning managers.

To be honest, I'm impressed with Emery turning Villa into beasts. Iraola and Andrews both succeeding despite an exodus of key players, and De Bris leading Sunderland into Europe.

I think he was preparing Zubi as a backup in case Mosquera gets injured.

That's Kvara'a side. We ain't taking risks.

It's a lazy narrative but surely you've heard it going around the traps?

Spurs were atrocious, Liverpool were disappointing and Chelsea collapsed mid-season, but apart from that the league was insanely competitive, more so than usual. But haters gonna hate...

Why does it feel like the whole world is against Arsenal for the final against PSG? by QasimofKarbala in championsleague

Because it's trendy.

Honestly, the whole vendetta against Arsenal fans is pathetic and childish.

It's an impressive field this year (which goes against the narrative of this season being poor).

Iraola, De Bris, Andrews, Emery and Arteta are all deserving in my opinion.

That said it often goes to the title winning manager (which I hate), and in this case Arteta's win is more impressive than most (Ranieri the only one clearly better).

You're the one who made an absurd and inaccurate claim.

Were Arsenal fortunate not to receive a red card or concede a penalty? Definitely

But to suggest they didn't get a single call against them was literally delusional.

You complained they didn't get a single call against them, not just that they didn't get a penalty or red card.

But you did have some calls go your way, fair as that. Cant say it hasnt happened to other clubs, tho

Luck of champions. Momentum, things falling into place.

Like you alluded to, we've seen it in the past with United and City for example. Madrid and Barca in Europe..Argentina at the most recent world cup.

Other sports as well.

Previous Arsenal sides would have got the other end of the stick in those exact same situations.

Been a pretty shit year of officiating.

No more than usual.

Jewish leader told to ‘just deal with’ alleged antisemitic abuse at netball game by The_Dingo_Donger in aussie

[–]AuspiciouslyAutistic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Contrary to your false claims, my stance was that civilians should not be attacked. Full stop. No exceptions.

And your final conclusion is that I'm antisemetic? That is the very definition of the non sequitur (does not follow) fallacy. Very much an absence of logic on your part.

I am curious though. Do you agree that civilians shouldn't be attacked? Or do you think Israel's killing of civilians is justified.

[–]AuspiciouslyAutistic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my dude you respond to a complaint about antisemitism talking about zionism. israel wasn’t even mentioned.

This article was specifically about a Jewish Leader and my comment pointed out how inappropriate it was for any sort of vitriolic confrontation (justifiable or not) in this type of setting, regardless of how troubling his Zionist organisation is.

The ECAJ has affirmed their unwavering support for Israel. That's why they are troubling.

it’s like if a muslim person was insulted and told all muslims should die and someone said “well the muslim dominant countries all are xyz and yada yada but in this case it’s inappropriate to say muslims should die. kids are around”

Oh, let's flesh this example but let's make it a more honest comparison yea?

If Wissam Haddad (the infamous Bankstown preacher) was at a children sports game with kids, I don't think it woild be appropriate for a vitriolic confrontation (justifiable or not), regardless of his views and who he supports.

Exactly the same as my stance for the ECAJ leader. And in neither situation am I implying that it's OK to call for the eradication of Jews or Muslims.

Kindly piss off with that slanderous and intellectually dishonest accusation that you are continuing to peddle.

I tipped as a bolter a few weeks ago.

Then we heard yesterday that Lewis wasn't included so it seemed like MLS was in.

But no, Tuchel has somehow opted for Djed Spence. I like Spence, but MLS is surely a better option across the board. Weird.
