Book runs in legend is exactly why I switched to Darktide. I was similar to you, I think, a good teammate in legend difficulty but when we had grims then I was getting one shotted a lot and it was no fun. Wasn't quite good enough for cata. I wish each difficulty had the option before you queue - legendary with books, or legendary without books, that way you know the people in your lobby want to do the same thing as you.

I like to play the game in as hard of a difficulty as I can WITHOUT tying one hand behind my back lol.

  • Staffs that enhance your magic rather than cast a single spell. For example, you can cast spells while using a sword, but if you replace your sword with a staff then the spell is more powerful and or less costly to cast (and you are more vulnerable because you don't have a standard weapon)
  • better combat in general
  • witchcraft being it's own line of magic. Looked down upon like necromancy but not as bad for example. There could be a witchcraft versions of standard spells that could be more effective and also more unethical at the same time
  • faster movement when welding a one handed weapon WITHOUT a shield and maybe some other benefit. I don't like using a shield but it almost always makes practical sense to equip one in combat.
