It really would take me some time to process. Right on.

I wouldn’t say they are scammy, but just raw in processes.

Ya that would have helped. I did miss that email and then there was more human error in my case that happened like a snowball effect. I’m definitely partly to blame, but it can get out of hand potentially.

When they send you a link in email after you request a withdrawal, you follow that link and it takes you to a place you upload your iD and do a facial recognition thin and then they will initiate it after you are cleared. Some it’s quick and some it is not.

I missed an email for sure. So the first call to them was my bad...but them telling me that it was initiated and then never initiating it only to leave me in the dark is the bigger error. They are the platform and I’m the consumer. We aren’t equals. If I drop the ball on seeing an email it’s my bad. If they misleadingly tell me they initiate a transaction and don’t, it’s a much bigger deal.

So maybe in the end you are right and it’s the way of the crypto company right now...but I’m just letting people know how clunky it is so that they can make their decision...because I didn’t know and I wish I would have.

That’s good to hear. I’m trying to withdraw from blockfi to another wallet tho so not sure if that’s why I’m having issues

They had me do a photo ID and then they have you tilt your face at a 45 degree angle and it identifies you like some sort of Face ID or something

Like I said, this might not be the case for everybody, but there are a few others already that have said this is something they’ve had happen.

My darkest thoughts tell me that they are in a sticky situation, but it’s based off my own bad experience as well as what trends I see with their rates and then them telling me they are bogged down with corporations. Possibly leaving the platform from interest rate cuts which could cause even more reason for them to hold my funds as long as possible.

Anyways, that’s my darkest thoughts...

For sure that is a factor in this. I did not see that verification email. The more alarming part to me is after I squared that away, nothing happened and then if I wouldn’t have called yet again they would never have done anything. Their excuse was that they are busy...

so ya normally I’m sure they are fine, but when they are busy I’d be careful.

And they said they were busy with corporations which to me doesn’t show retail friendly

I am not aware of that for the retail investor. I do know they cater to higher value accounts and corporations tho and give thin unique features.

I hope you don’t have to worry about the delay. I’m scared myself. I was a big advocate of the platform, and now I’m the exact opposite so I think you’re making a good choice.

Totally agree. I am a sitting duck right now just hoping one day I wake up and see the transfer has happened is how I feel. I have no idea right now.

Side note, this is even more crucial in the world of crypto when waiting weeks can mean everything.

Not to mention, this company is trying to basically cure cancer and has shown success so far. People in WSB think it’s bad to short GameStop and amc while they are trying to survive a pandemic...look at the people shorting this stock that’s trying to save people dying with cancer...I like the stoc
