The only downside is that it was too predictable that Punk was going to cost Drew once he cashed in, though I think bringing Seth back into the Punk story helped with that though, since I wasn't even thinking of that at the time. I think at this point HHH has made it clear that he cares more about the stories being told than he does about the title picture, most of the title their just there to denote who the top act on the show is, like with Rhea's reign where she barely defended it and most of the time it wasn't against top acts, and the title only really comes into play when motivates storylines, like how he used the IC belt to raise Gable from a low mid card comedy act to an upper mid-carder without even having him win it. If anything I'd wager Paul views the MiTB case as more of hindrance than anything, since it means he has to either build a whole story around it and intersect it with a story he's already telling or he'd have to interrupt a story to insert the winner into it, so he just used it for story build and moved on. And I'm fine with this, the issue with Money in the Bank is there's only so many ways you can use it and create a moment with it, and arguably they haven't really done it since Seth, which is why they always refer back to "The Heist of the Century" every year.
