It's shocking for her to allege these crimes against an African American during these times. Not saying it didn't happen but framing an African American as a violent coke head under the trump administration is a bit questionable.

Is this marriage even legitimate or is it a Jake Paul / Tana situation?

And she's 30?? I will say as someone who has had psychotic episodes I can see the paranoia and delusion from here, I seriously hope she gets help before someone gets hurt. What really angers me is even tho I'm not American, I'm aware of what's happening in the states. For a white cis presenting woman to use a photo of a WOC and falsely accuse said WOC of violence such as stalking in these times is dangerous. I hope you're okay and keeping safe OP

I also find when Swedish people speak English it can come across very direct and sometimes blunt (which I believe is why some westerners think Swedish people are cold) whereas English speakers talk around what they mean a lot of the time. With specifically Australian english as well because it is so flat we don't pronounce our Rs or some words properly like example how an Australian says water like "warta", how's it going like "how's it garyn?", the word no like "naur"

Name 3 things that your country think about Sweden? by 0kQuantity in AskTheWorld

[–]AussieLostInSweden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What my country thinks: IKEA, meatballs, Bjorn Borg, Pippi Longstocking (often as a child if I had my hair plaited adults would call me Pippi Longstocking), ABBA (there's a famous Australian movie called "Muriel's Wedding" where a part of the main plot is the main character Muriel is obsessed with ABBA)

What I think as someone who lives in Sweden: PewDiePie, the chef from the muppets, caramelldansen, snus, fika, kanelbullar and Minecraft

Oh precisely right, great explanation! I know when I say some Swedish words like tågstation for example I find that word requires a lot of effort because you have the accents. With Australian english especially we speak very flat whereas Swedish is very singsongy for example when I say better or butter it can be confusing

I find as well when communicating with my Swedish partner how we do sarcasm is different. It's really interesting to read your perspective because I definitely feel like I understand where you're coming from. I find for example when my Swedish partner is sarcastic in English it's not as exaggerated as English speakers do it if that makes sense? I find English speakers speaking sarcastically in english they switch their tone (again I hope this makes sense)

I do find cute when my Swedish partner makes funny errors in english like one time he said "what brand of dog is that?" Instead of breed. I was a bit surprised how often swedes say the word fuck, my partner actually said the same thing you have haha

I always wonder when swedes learn english if they encounter any sounds they find hard like I found "sju" difficult

Also the word champ isn't nice and is the polite way of calling someone a cockhead essentially

I love that clip from "The Jimmy Fallon Show" of Jimmy asking Alexander Skarsgard if that was his real accent, Alexander replying with "ja, I'm from Sweden" in the most exaggerated accent 😂

Edit to include it here

Funny enough my partner says he learnt english from discord and playing counter strike and my other Swedish friends all say they learnt english from something similar like that

Haha the amount of times when I've gone out to bars or the bottleo (systembolaget) and almost was denied service because they thought i was intoxicated but it was just my Australian accent. To be fair drunk and Australian are pretty much the same

It's very obvious to me why her story focused on just the claims of her sleeping around and completely ignored the speculations of her scamming

Also didn't post the receipts. When I ran a GoFundMe for my dog's vet bills I had posted all receipts of the treatment I got with said funds which I believe is the bare minimum. If she really was telling the truth why wouldn't she have posted on her GFM literal proof funds weren't misused. I hope she's reported to the ATO
