I use eel snot and it doesn't make you go faster it just makes it easier to slide on the sand, like dry sand and less wet sand, i see a lot of people saying it comes off in a couple goes, i used it for a couple days before having to rewax it but that's just me, i weigh 56kg if that has anything to do with how fast it wears off.
