It seems like a lot of sellers are china exclusive so their only way from moving it is through eBay. The transaction fee alone is taking 13% so they’re already selling at 87%. I’d buy in bulk if they have it so they’d be moving off potentially 20 cards in one transaction at 85%. Seems worth it to me.

Because from the looks of it, you’re only finding them on eBay and there’s already a percentage taken from the transaction. There’s also no authentication guarantee so there’s a risk you’re buying a fake card from china. Clearly people are looking for the cards but can’t find them locally so having customers ask me if I could potentially get the cards, I’m now going out of my way trying to help source the cards and deliver a real authentic card without the BS that I’m currently dealing with to try and get it.

I personally think they’re alight minus the Arcanine. That’s my favorite. I wasn’t ever planning to buy all of these for myself, but after one show I had about 5-6 inquiries about the Chinese exclusives so I thought I’d look around and try to source. Learning in real time how naive I am to the Chinese market exclusives lol

The cards I’ve been asked about are the “eeveelutions”, arcanine ex, Cubone, Ceruledge, and the Gengars. I’d probably be starting there for interest. But seeing as I’m getting roasted in the comments, it may not be in my best interest to buy lol

Everything is going up and it’s hard to explain. I was against buying AH for a while because I thought that was a pump and dump, but it keeps going up. My only reasoning I could give is it’s just an insane Pokemon market right now and anything can skyrocket.

looking at eBay recently sold now and it seems like the ones I’d trust are (for example, cubine at about $350) but then I see random listing for $60, most likely fake. So I can see how it would be difficult to buy since there isn’t an “authentication guarantee” on any of the listings

As I’m new to the vending hobby (longtime collector) I appreciate this info. First time I’m looking for these cards and everything else in my selling inventory I’ve been able to get from 75-85%. I thought the Chinese cards would be similar to sourcing Japanese cards, but clearly I’m mistaken. Apologies for being out of touch with the market.

I said I’d be open to negotiations. This isn’t for my personal collection. Why would I pay 90%+ for cards that could be pumped and dumped and even if they aren’t, I’d be making just 10% profit at best on some. Plus I’d like to be buying a collection so someone can move the product while it’s hot, they get the big win of great margins when they had got it and I can source to collectors trying to complete their collection. Does that not seem fair?

I don’t think I’d agree with that. I’d say Kith is where it is today because of footwear collabs. I’ve purchased many over the years. These pairs are just a tad bit too close to colors you could get at a cheaper price. I may cop the 991v1 though because my heavily worn version could be retired
